Be Like Jesus – Include Everyone says
Bible stories about Jesus healing people are just incredible. I love how the people who ask Jesus for help are changed – in more ways than one.
If I’m honest, I nd them hard to read too. You see, I have friends and family who have been ill or are disabled and I’ve asked Jesus to help them, but nothing seems to have happened. It’s really important I tell you I also know people who have asked Jesus to help them and they have been healed. Now that is incredible!
In this week’s cartoon Bible story, a lady is healed by Jesus. A little like last week’s story about Bartimaeus, it’s easy to focus on the healing. Like Bartimaeus, this lady wouldn’t have been allowed to join in anything

because of her illness – she was an outcast. She’d been made to feel so bad about herself that she even tried to get to Jesus in secret – from the middle of a big crowd where she thought no one would notice her. Jesus did notice her. Even in a busy crowd he showed her the love, dignity, care and respect she’d always deserved.
As Christians, we’re supposed to be like Jesus. I wonder how like him you are in helping people to feel included. Is there anyone you know who is desperate to belong, but is left out because of an illness or disability? What could you do to be like Jesus this week? How can you help include everyone?
