Concept
Spend an hour doing a pointless task and document and present this pointless task in some way. The presentation should show how pointless the task was.
After punching holes in a book for one hour as a pointless task the result was a large pile of dots. These dots had no purpose and had also damaged and therefore removed the purpose of the book. To document the extent of how pointless this task was, an extensive dot-to-dot was produced including 905 dots. When somebody draws the dot-to-dot they will gain an experience of the laborious and pointless task that was carried out, working
The documentation however should not be pointless.
Deliverables Documentation of your pointless hour. A dot-to-dot including 905 dots, of the Queen. A presentation telling the story of your pointless hour and why you decided to document it the way you did.

Part Two
The Pointless Task Punching holes in a book using a hole punch, for one hour. Documented through video recording. The task was made even more pointless as the holes did not remove any words from the book as initially intended, this simply removed circles of paper.

The Documentation A1 size dot-to-dot including 905 dots. The theme of the dot-todot links to the book used to punch out holes as this included a sub-title ‘Life in Britain’. This documentation portrays the ‘pointlessness’ of the pointless task to others as they get to interact with the many dots and experience counting them.
