COMMUNICATION TIPS FOR HEARING LOSS

Communication with people who have deficiency in hearing is always not too difficult as people think of it to be. It is two way street where both listener and speaker understand what they need to communicate, then it turned out to be a great conversation. The cause for hearing loss is ageing, exposure to noisy surrounding, due to disease, due to damage of ear drums. Below are few tips to communicate with people have hearing loss.  Firstly before conversation gain their attention towards you by waving the hands or tapping. 

Face person directly and maintain eye contact so that it would be easy to communicate.

 Make sure the person having hearing problem is aware about the topic you are talking of.  If someone is wearing hearing aids, doesn’t mean that person can hear properly, so be polite with them while talk.  Speak clearly but not too slow, so that lip reading can be done.
