How to control diabetes with Indian food?

Diabetes can be controlled by having proper diet. If person is aware about the food that are eaten or not, then easily it can be controlled. The basic cause of diabetes is genetic problem, hereditary, unhygienic food, many more. Diabetes should not be ignored once detected because ignoring it may lead to heart disease also, sometimes can cause stroke too. Hence awake as early as possible. Few tips on how to control diabetes with intake of Indian Food are as follow.

Milk/Yogurt  One of the best source to get Vitamin D is milk, also blood sugar friendly which control sugar level.  Having 2 glass of milk a day along with cereals/cornflakes , or can have dairy product like cottage cheese, low fat yogurt along with diet. Citric Food.  People having diabetes lacks by Vitamin C in their body, which can been fulfilled by having citric fruits like Oranges, Grapes etc.  They help in reducing sugar level and are high in antioxidants which essential. Sweet Potato  Have baked sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes, as such are rich in decreasing your blood sugar level, rich in fiber, also decrease your cholesterol level.  It plays role in helping body to respond to insulin.


Plenty amount of water  Water is integral part of human body and helps in regulating body glucose level. When body is hydrated, it produce much amount of glucose which leads to increase of sugar level  Consume 12-10 glass of water a day to maintain your sugar level. Whole grain Bread  Eating white bread is more likely of having sugar when it comes to raise sugar level. So when you need to have excess of them, switch to brown which can help in increasing insulin level.  Higher the consumption of grains, the more higher is the insulin sensitivity and blood sugar stability. Small Frequent diet  It’s always been advised by doctor not to have full meal at a time, break them in small interval, As such altogether can give rise to blood sugar.  Diabetic person should follow diet plan which contains proper amount of Proteins, Carbohydrate and Vitamins.
