Even when you are happy your eyes are full of tears. Dry eye occurs when eye does not produce tears properly or when the tears are not of proper consistency and evaporate too quickly. Dry eye is often chromic problem particular in older adults. With each blink of eyelids, tears spread across the front surface of eye and provide lubrication, reduce risk of eye infection, keep surface of eye clear and clean.

As per doctor recommendation one must drink 8-10 glass of water a day to get relief from dry eyes if you have habit of coffee, beverages or live in dry air or windy climate.
