IMMUNIZATION – WHY SHOULD WE VACCINATE THE CHILD?
Over 2 Million children under the age of 5 die every year in India and another 1 Million or more are disabled for life. A major cause is that parents often forget to vaccinate the child on time. ”Prevention is better than cure.” Vaccination is the best and safest way to protect the child from any preventive disease and infections. Save the child’s life Disease such as polio once handicapped or killed thousands of children have been eliminated completely while others are close to extinction because of vaccines. Safe and Effective Vaccines are given after a long and careful review by scientists, doctors, and healthcare professionals. Sometimes vaccines involve discomfort and can cause pain, redness, or tenderness at the place of injection but this is minimal compared to the pain, discomfort, and trauma of the diseases these vaccines prevent. Save future generation Vaccines have reduced and even eliminate many chronic diseases that killed and disabled many. If we continue vaccinating now parents in the future may be able to trust that some diseases of today will no longer be around to harm their children.
