Time for post Diwali detox
Along with diyas and fire crackers, Diwali is synonymous with fried snacks and sweets, since the festival makes it almost impossible to resist the temptations of giving in to high calorie sweets and delicacies. Needless to say, we have given a free rein to ourselves when it comes to indulging during Diwali But now Diwali is over and it’s time to get back on the health track. It's probably time to shed the extra kilos gained during all that indulgence so a post Diwali detox can be the best way to undo the toll taken by the festive season on system. So here are some self-detox tips:
Drink lots of water Water helps the body to metabolize toxins better and flush them out. Start the day by sipping a tall glass of lukewarm water with a few drops of lemon juice in it. Drink at least 10 glasses of water a day Exercise is must Controlling the diet alone won't help to lose those extra calories. As for the celebration we have skipped the exercise routine for more than 2 weeks but now the festive season has gone so go brisk walk or do yoga. Start with climbing office stairs, moving around and cycling is also a good option.
