Summer is perfect time for exploring the place, spending time along with family/friends but along with that, it also keeps you at risk of having number of irritating and uncomfortable summer aliments. Sun Burn Our body contain “melanin” which protect our skin from sun’s ultra violet rays. Sunburn take place when the body naturally cannot protect itself from the sun harmful rays. As per doctor suggestion “the darker your skin tone, the lesser are change of getting burn, lighter the skin-tend to burn the skin more”. Sometimes burns also cause skin cancer. Remedies:  Apply sunscreen location-parts exposed in sun, the times you are going out.  Cover affected area with “Aloe Vera gel” as such it will heal burning soon.  Avoid taking shower under cold water, as such it can increase your skin irritation more.


Dehydration Sweating keep body cool by evaporation process but also cause dehydration, if adequate amount of water is not been consumed within a day. Severe dehydration result in weakness and can damage other organs. Anyone who suddenly stop sweating in hot atmosphere, is experiencing severe dehydration, then immediate medical treatment is needed. Remedies:  Get out of the sun immediately and go at cool and shady area.  Drink plenty of water to keep body hydrated.  Sip some energy giving fluids like glucose/electrolyte to keep body energized.

Swimmer Ear This is not cause because of summer, but activity performed in summer-Swimming. This take place while swimming you allow salt water to enter your ears, which leads to infections. Symptoms includes itchiness and discomfort in ears, also yellow discharge get deposited in ears. Remedies:  While swimming use earplug or shower caps in order to prevent ears.  Mullein oil-homeopathic drops, which give relief to infections caused in ears.  Also one can drop garlic oil, to prevent infection.

Heat Rashes Summer mostly affects the skin. Due to heat in summer, inflammation take place known as heat rashes- caused by blocked sweat glands. Remedies:  Keep body as cool as possible, expose affected area to air and wear light cotton clothes.  Use Dettol or other rashes relief liquid along with water.  One can apply rose water on affected area with cotton bud to prevent more rashes.

Foot infections It is skin infection that take place when your feet have been enclosed in shoes for longer period of time and cannot take fresh air. It can be cured easily it proper action is taken at correct time.


Remedies:  Soak your feet in warm water with salt added to it.  Garlic is an excellent antibiotic and its can kill fungus causing infection. Rub a clove of garlic on affected area.

Dry Hairs Usually people face dry, rough and damaged hair in winter. They tend to wash hairs daily just because of smell caused of sweating from hairs. Remedies:  Cover you hairs with scarf or hat while travelling out in summer. Not only it will protect hair from sun’s UV rays but will also retain moisture in scalp.  Tie you hair by messy bun/braids/lose hairstyle, tight hairstyle will damage hair if your hair is dry because of summer heat.  Massage your hair with oil, then wash with conditioner in order to reduce dryness of hairs.
