Showcasing the Concept - Focusing on the layout and form of graphic design, to show the course through a means of design. The bright orange reflection shows the graphic designs passion from with in. Considerations - The art work must last for a long period of time so can not be date or time specific. It must show case the course as a whole, not specific areas with in. Target audience - Graphic design students and tutors. It must also promote the course to visiting professionals and visitors. Scale - wall height

Research -
The concept derived from signage and wayfinding one of the fundamentals underpinning graphic design practice. The bright neon colours of perspex lends it self to this. Perspex also disperses light giving the signage the appearance of back light with out using any electricity.

A key to the success of the sign was planning. In the preliminary stages of development detailed diagrams were made in order to making the crafting of the sign straight forward.

Research -
Tests were ran on a variety of different materials to discover which was the most appropriate. The orange colour scheme was the most eye catching and engaging.

Research -
The over all aesthetic is minimal and clean. Due to the permanence of the wall art and its need for longevity the use of vinyl for the ‘06’ is interchangeable, allowing the art to move with the time.
