Sanae Takahata born in Maebashi City, Japan, she went to Paris in 1977 to pursue her artistic career as well as to break free from the constrained environment in her home country Her work has been exhibited worldwide including New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Seattle and Paris
Though broken free from constraints, Takahata’s work still reflects her love for Japanese culture and the traditional Zen thinking. Her work allows beholders to wander in the endless imagination of one’s mind, appreciating the 2-D beauty on canvas that is prominent in traditional Japanese art This is a series of work that emits peace, tranquility and inspiration
“Sanae is a free person She doesn't know borders The border that divides, for example, east and west, self and other, consciousness and unconsciousness, sanity and insanity, reality and dream, and even life and death. Her free spirit crosses any border and transcends to something universal, something so familiar, so dear, so urgent, and so immediate to anyone
She lives art Art is her existence itself She is dead serious about what she is expressing, because it's her as a human being at a certain point in her life. She develops, matures, and becomes more and more profound You can feel it by following her work as I have been doing for more than twenty years It's such an assuring thing to be her friend, because she makes you feel she is with you wherever you are. She listens and she cares. The most rewarding thing you can get from your friend.
When you stand in front of her dresses and headgear I would like to call them tiaras, since they are so graceful you are actually looking at her honest self, which is not afraid to show you everything This is her, genuine and brave, yet tender and fragile. Cheers to her sharing her life with us It is beautifully and endearingly human Isn't that the reason for us to be here on earth anyway?”

CHRISTIE’S AUCTION ARTIST CONTEMPORARY ART
Lee Kyoung-mi was born in 1977 in Korea; she received M F A degree in Painting from Hong-ik University, Seoul Her first solo exhibition was held in 2005 and immediately gained massive attention from the art circle and the public Since then, her artistic concept and painting skill have had outstanding progress and her talent is widely recognized Her works not only echo with the characteristics of Baroque paintings, but also inherit the discussion of perspective and viewpoint since Cézanne Lee held successive solo and joint exhibitions in Seoul, Beijing, and Hong Kong
In his early years, he was famous for his series of paintings of street scenes on the table painted in basrelief on birch panels, which not only echoed the characteristics of Baroque painting, but also inherited Cézanne's discussion of perspective and viewer's perspective, and the protagonist Nana is her love cat and the embodiment of the artist's self! The inspiration for the creation is mostly from travel and life experience, condensing the lack of memories and emotions from childhood, and also accompanied by the imagination of the universe Through continuous creation, she believes that the artist's job is to create a visual form that uniquely reflects her own story, reflecting all aspects of contemporary society, including herself

Signboard Heaven, Meets Art.
The ”stitch artist" that is how Park Sang Hee is known. Her extraordinary attachment to the material has armed her this name Park has researched and experimented with ach cutting techniques for almost ten years. Over time, Park must have heard numerous questions about stitch work, but she does not seem to tire of them. The questions and curiosity about her work can be summarized into a single question: What does "stitch" mean to Park Sang Hee? From there flow more. Did Park work at a sign-making company in her youth? Is it a partiality towards a technique utilized before? A desire to make her work iconic? If those are not the reasons, perhaps she felt intimidated working with expensive materials? Even hazarding a guess, I am still left wondering: what is the draw of "stitch" work?
The ubiquitous stitch out sign is South Korea's signboard culture's chief navigator, & presents to the viewing public both spectacular and juvenile content. It reflects society Signboard culture has stimulated Part’s philosophical questioning enough that she picked ”stitch" as her medium.
Park's work in the 2004 exhibition "Signboards are Art” led me to ask this question: How is this signboard heaven, South Korea constructed? Park's work does not answer this question directly Her work instead captures a society's national character their social psyche in soft and smooth cityscapes. Signboard culture is spectacular, but sometimes considered an eyesore Yet to Park, I is not something to be criticized and rejected To her it is part of our history, and quietly reveals characteristics of our society If this is the case, what kinds of thoughts permeate this culture? Let us now enter the world of ”stitch" to take a look at Park's work

"Sorry I don't paint things” I do not paint things, I only paint the difference between things The arVst plays with the infinite concept of the exterior space, everything that occurs outside of us that we do not noVce
Carmen’s work captures images and sensaVons that seek to be translated and re-expressed through color, density, and temperature The subject almost always comes from a moment, it makes a transversal cut through an instant in which the sensaVon or image is perceived and from there, she creates and conceives each piece through drawings and notes put together in a mosaic puzzle The visual impact of her painVng consVtutes an interesVng result which, more than figuraVve, returns to an abstract technique of oil on canvas, incorporaVng spots, dripping, and organic forms coming from spontaneous gestures, as well as incorporaVng more tradiVonal elements of design and graphics

The simple language of symbols, the presence of color and maker, invite us to feel further from our senses, of evocaVon or reflecVon.
The process inherent to each work shows us the presence of maker itself, and through it, the Vme, the archeology of layers and color, interlacing at the birth of an individual being
Each history is the same ancestral and archetypical history of that eternal present that dwells inside us
And to feel through that being that makes presence in front of us, is to parVcipate in one’s history, as a close-up in a mirror, to a now here overflowing from the heart

FACES & FIGURES
by Chilean Artist Gina Intveen“ I WANT TO SIMPLIFY THE WORLD, BUT NOT ITS ENERGY, NOR COVER UP A VISION WHICH NEEDS TO BE TRAPPED BY SOMEONE WHO WISHES TO DIALOGUE ………..…”
The ‘faces and figures’ of women have been the sources of inspiration for artists born at anytime; no matter it was the rotund, voluptuous figure of Aphrodite or the dissembled faces in Picasso’s Cubist paintings
The contemporary Chilean artist Gina Intveen depicts women figures in exotic folk costumes and accessories stitched with elaborate, exquisite patterns which at once catch viewers’ attention but by no means disrupt the balance of the whole composition The rich colors and attention to details create the intriguing glamour and at the same time, an uncanny mood The women’s faces are clouded with mistiness which lends a touch of mystique to the seemingly simple ‘faces and figures’, in this sense reminding audience of the classic appeal of Mona Lisa
Gina got a degree in Plastic Arts, with a major in Etching, Universidad de Concepción, Chile (1994) She has specialized in diverse painting techniques, attending seminars and courses given by Universidad de Concepción, Chile She is currently teaching at the renowned Universidad San Sebastián in the Architecture and Design program, Concepción, Chile She has a vast résumé as a plastic artist having participated in diverse national contests and a large number of individual and collective shows, both nationally and internationally Some of her paintings are in the MOLAA, Universidad de Concepción Art Collection, Chile and in private collections in the USA, Guatemala, Norway, Spain, etc
