Students of the arts learn to think creatively and solve problems. Dance helps children mature physically, emotionally, and socially. One of our most popular programs, Skyhawks Golf focuses on building the confidence of young athletes through proper technique and refining the essential skills of the game. As we know, golf is a challenging and lifelong sport, so young athletes need proper focus on the fundamentals of form, swinging, putting and body positioning. To assist in this training, Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system which uses modified equipment to its curriculum developed by PGA professionals, SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. No need to bring your own clubs, all equipment is provided. Instructor: Skyhawks Staff Fee: $113R/$133NR – 8 classes 28295 Sun 2:00-3:00pm 9/14-11/2 Laureola Park

Calisthenics and training drills develop strength, stamina and agility. The body hates change! It would much rather do the same thing every minute of every day. Well we have news for you…when you do the same exercise routine day in and day out you stop seeing results or “plateau.” We utilize the principle of muscle confusion. You will never do the same workout twice in a row! Why is this essential? Because your body will be forced to adapt and you will never plateau! Senior exercise is an important part of the health and wellness of seniors. It helps increase your metabolism, energy levels and alertness. Research shows that those suffering from chronic illness benefit from exercise even if it is done while sitting in a chair. Chair exercises are great for older adults, those with disabilities, poor balance or anyone who has trouble standing or getting on the floor to do exercises. They are always gentle on the body and generally safe for most people to do. It is always a good idea to talk to your doctor before beginning a new exercise program, but you are not likely to injure yourself doing any of these exercises. Bring a 5 lb. dumbbell weight with you to the first class. Be sure to wear loose clothing and comfortable, supportive shoes.
