PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE On behalf of Sandpipers, welcome to the 29th Annual Holiday Homes Tour. We are so proud to once again bring holiday cheer to the community with this much loved South Bay tradition. Following a year of cancelled events and shutdowns, we are so excited to be back! This tour is one of our largest fundraisers of the year. Through the generosity of tour ticket holders, community partners and over 200 volunteers, we are able to support Sandpipers’ philanthropic programs right here in the South Bay, which include over 60 local charities and many more individuals in need. We are proud that 100% of our proceeds make this support possible in our local community. Our homes have become our everything this past year, and we are so grateful to the 3 generous homeowners who opened their front doors to welcome us in and to help us give back to the community. We can’t wait to share with all of you the unique, beautifully styled homes, sure to put all in a festive and hopeful spirit. Our Holiday Market & Cafe features over 20 local vendors, who generously donate 25 percent of their sales back to Sandpipers. Please make sure to visit the downtown Manhattan Beach location to enjoy some delicious bites and a little holiday shopping! You can also find smaller cafes at various tour locations, provided by local supporting restaurants and businesses. I am so proud of the entire Holiday Homes Tour team - our associated committees and those in the community who support them. A special thank you to our Director of Holiday Homes Tour, Alex Mandas, our Fundraising VP, Leah Turano, our Sponsorships VP, Gloria Correa, our Marketing VP, Tori Lau, our Director of Public Relations, Caitlin O’Hara, and our Finance VP, Kaylee Torio, who together directed all aspects of this tour with dedication and flexibility. Special thanks to our amazing Holiday Homes Tour Co-Chairs, Jennifer Palmieri and Lisa Ryan, for their guidance and support of 20 plus chairwomen and their committees that have worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Thank you to all of the local business partners who donate time, goods and services to festively stage these homes. And, finally, thank you to all our members who have volunteered during the tour in various capacities - this would not be possible without them. Next weekend, Sandpipers will be celebrating our 90th year for our Holiday Baskets program. This philanthropic event is what started our organization back in 1931, and we are so proud to continue that tradition today. Sandpipers distributes over 100 holiday “baskets” filled with over $800 of essentials and gifts to families in financial need. It is with your generosity that Sandpipers will continue to dedicate its time and resources to serving and supporting our community. I am so grateful to each of you for returning to our Holiday Homes Tour this year. We missed you and welcome back! Wishing you a safe and healthy holiday season,
Nikki Binford Marshall
