The thesis project “Collective Housing”, located in the historic Prague district of Warsaw, aims to redefine and reinvent the concept of collective spaces by integrating innovative architectural solutions with social dynamics inherent in shared living environments.

Collective housing, in its essence, represents a unique social construct, which blurs the border between private and public spaces, favoring shared experiences and interactions. However, the design of these spaces involves a delicate balance between privacy and the promotion of interaction, a challenge that constitutes the core of this thesis.

The thesis aims to address social issues by examining key architectural themes such as the transformation of space, the adaptability of environments and the creation of new common spaces. Through the lens of a hybrid construction project, the studio investigates how architecture can act as an enabler to promote community, flexibility and adaptability within a collective housing context.
