DIRECTOR’S UPDATE Thanks to all of our friends and donors who attended the Grand Opening of our Early Literacy Center, Dive Into Reading, and Digital Media Studio on August 12. We were delighted to showcase the renovated children’s area and new recording studio to an enthusiastic and appreciative crowd. If you have not had a chance to see our newly renovated children’s space, please take a walk through on your next visit to the Library. We welcome you to bring your preschooler to explore the new space. The Digital Media Studio is available by reservation to adults with a Sandusky Library card in good standing. An orientation is required prior to using the Studio. To schedule an orientation in the Sound Recording Studio, Video Recording Studio, or both, give us a call at 419-625-3834. Check out our iMac class offerings also inside this newsletter. September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Now is the perfect time of year to check your wallet and your child’s backpack for a Library card as the school year starts. Your Library card is a great value: It allows you to borrow library materials at no cost. New card holders register for free at any time. Current cardholders may replace a lost or damaged card for free during the month of September. We hope to see you in September! Molly Carver, Executive Director
In celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, replacement Library cards are free!
