DIRECTOR’S UPDATE:
In celebration of the City of Sandusky’s Bicentennial, the Library unveiled its One City, Many Stories Traveling Exhibit on April 10 during National Library Week. The First Century, represented in three panels, will travel throughout the community to local schools, museums, government offices, and other locations that are free and open to the public. The Second Century, also three panels, will be displayed at the Library. All six panels will be displayed at special events during the year. To host The First Century Exhibit, call the Library for more information. As we reflect on the City’s past, we are reminded of the many family stories in the community. Every family has its own personal archive of letters, photographs, slides, or videos. If you have old family slides or videos that you have not been able to view for many years, you now have the opportunity to transfer them to a viewable format at the Library. The Library has equipment and software available for in-house use to convert slides and edit VHS and Beta videos to a USB or DVD. To learn more about using the equipment or to schedule an appointment, call the Library at 419-625-3834.
