WELCOME
This year we welcome 56 international galleries to The Salon Art + Design. Adding to our geographic reach, galleries from Denmark and Spain join us this year for the first time. While admitting to prejudice, The Salon boasts the most amazing roster of galleries who bring their absolutely best material to The Salon. And I love that every year we get to reinvent the fair ever so slightly. That means that the visitor can come without preconceived ideas about what s/he’s going to see from year to year. I like to think that The Salon has something new to offer with each edition, from the elegant and now classic forms of the 20th century to the whimsical design that’s being made today — the classics of the future. So whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first time visitor, there’s so much to experience. Enjoy The Salon! Jill Bokor Executive Director

AT THE SALON
The Extraordinary Jewelry of Giampiero Bodino, 0pen during show hours. Giampiero Bodino is honored to be the jewelry sponsor of The Salon, and to showcase his creations in an environment perfectly suiting the Maison style and mission: striving for beauty in design, a passion for detail and quality, and a unique, eclectic style. This is the first official presence of Giampiero in the US; for the occasion, the Maison will introduce new one-of-a-kind pieces of high jewelry and a few classics, all created by the designer with his surprising, unique and colorful style. Goyard, 0pen during show hours. Maison Goyard presents an exclusive exhibition showcasing an extensive collection of trunks for the modern age with the theme “Continuity of Heritage/Heritage of Continuity,” wherein the emblematic ecru interior strap that has safely secured the worldly possessions of a notable clientele for more than 164 years, takes center stage, and performs as a metaphor for Goyard’s ability to reinvent itself whilst always remaining true to its roots. Since its establishment in 1853, Maison Goyard’s artisans have worked tirelessly to perfect their recipe for the classic trunk. The very same ancestral techniques are still used to ensure unparalleled quality and timeless elegance. TASCHEN, 0pen during show hours. TASCHEN is a leading global publisher known for its world of eye-catching coffee table books spanning art, architecture, design, fashion, unrivalled access to the portfolios, archives, and personal visions of icons such as Jeff Koons, Sebastião Salgado, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Peter Lindbergh, Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, David Hockney, Zaha Hadid, Ai Weiwei, and the Rolling Stones, TASCHEN books are instant collectibles. For its debut at The Salon, TASCHEN has curated a selection of new releases from its limited edition program.
