Art, Crafts and Hobbies Fly Tying For Florida
Have you been thinking about getting into fly tying, or maybe you’re just starting to get into it? Learn the basics of saltwater and warm water fly tying. Each student will learn to tie several standard flies than can be used in and around Florida to catch our most common fish. Introduction To Flameworking
This class is designed for the complete beginner or novice to gain the basic skills in Flameworking glass - sometimes called Lampworking at a bench mounted torch. Get a solid foundation of the fundamental procedures to further explore techniques and skills offered in the intermediate and private workshops. Scene Study Acting Workshop
A workshop-styled class, focusing on acting skills and character analysis. Students will rehearse and workshop scenes from plays, including Shakespeare and contemporary. Tribute to Ernest M. Lee The Santa Fe College Community Education family has lost a beloved instructor and friend. Ernest Lee taught for Community Education and College For Kids and was loved by all. Ernest passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was a local folk artist and participated in the SF Spring Arts Festival for many years. Ernest Lee grew up in North Carolina, where he learned to love painting as a youth through an art class in high school. He explored many different paints and techniques, but fell in love with painting country houses with oils. He participated in art shows and has art work that is exhibited in many galleries throughout the United States. In 2019 he was a winner of the Awards of Merit at the SF Spring Art Festival. In 2012 and 2013, he received Honorable Mention in “The Long Wood Arts Festival”. He has been on CBS, PBS, and Cable Television. Sports Beginner’s Disc Golf
This class will teach you the fundamentals of throwing a disc a distance and on target while also learning how to putt accurately. Disc golf is played on a course like traditional golf, but it uses the natural environment, and the targets are positioned between, within, or around trees to increase the challenge. Instead of clubs, you use different specially designed frisbees and plastics. There’s no hole in the ground; the target is a metal basket with chains that slow down the disc. At the end of the class, you will possess all the necessary tools to enjoy playing a unique sport that harmonizes with nature. Preparing for a Zoom Meeting Days Before · Remember to download and install the Zoom launcher (PC/Mac) or the app (iOS/Android) in advance, as it can take several minutes to complete. · Review Zoom instructions via the external Zoom link found in Canvas. More information can also be found at Zoom’s Getting Started page. · Join a Zoom Test Meeting to confirm your computer or device’s capabilities.
15 Minutes Before · Find a quiet space with strong WiFi that is free of distractions. · Open Zoom via the downloaded program, app or Canvas. · Test your headphones, microphone and camera to make sure the class can hear and see you (and vice versa). · Close any windows or programs open on your device that are unrelated to your meeting. This focuses your device’s power to provide the best Zoom meeting experience possible, and prevents potential embarrassing moments if you happen to share your screen. During the Zoom Meeting · Click Start Video to begin broadcasting from your webcam. · Click the Chat bubble to ask questions via text, share links to websites, and keep up with the class’s back-channel discussion. You can chat to everyone in the meeting, just the instructor, or a specific person. · Find out who else is in the meeting by clicking Participants. This is also where you can “raise your hand” to ask a question, answer a question, or start an intense philosophical debate. What you do with this power is up to you. · Be prepared to share your screen with the class. They can see the tabs you have open. · At the end of the class, click Leave Meeting.

Doing something embarrassing or distracting, like flossing, eating or using your camera to see if you have food in your teeth will probably be seen, no matter how quickly you do it.
