Audiences can expect to be delighted when the Dance Theatre of Santa Fe performs traditional West African dance, hip hop, classical ballet, contemporary modern and musical theatre dance styles in the annual “Elements of Style” performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 31 - April 1, 2023, in the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall at the Northwest Campus of Santa Fe College.

The Santa Fe Art Gallery will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days of the festival. The Sustainable Student Art Competition will be on display. This unique exhibit features the work of Santa Fe College Students created entirely from recycled, reused, and repurposed materials.

The Museum of Earth Sciences (MOES) will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days of the festival. Come visit the SF Museum of Earth Science for a tour of the museum and rock cycle garden, hands-on activities, and informational session for North Woods.

2023 FESTIVAL ARTIST
STACEY BREHENY
Stacey Breheny is painter living in High Springs, Florida. She has also been on the faculty at Santa Fe College off and on since 1986. She is currently a “Designated Faculty” teaching art classes at the Watson and Andrews Centers at Santa Fe College.
From 1984-2004, Prof. Breheny was a Museum Artist at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida where she was a muralist, illustrator and graphic designer. She produced many of the large-scale habitat murals at the museum.
Ms. Breheny has participated in numerous exhibits and plein-aire events in the region over the years. The poster image “Sparkleberry Spring” was created from life during the annual Open Air Arts event sponsored by the Melrose Bay Art Gallery.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Santa Fe College is excited to announce the return of the historic Spring Arts Festival on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, 2023 on the Northwest Campus of Santa Fe College. Founded in 1969, The Santa Fe College Spring Arts Festival has become a signi cant element in the community, celebrating artistic achievement, cultural diversity and the creative spirit in all of us.
Santa Fe College would like to thank the City of Gainesville for their continued support of the Spring Arts Festival. Gainesville’s Regional Transit System (RTS) is offering FREE services with extended routes and locations in order to provide adequate transportation to and from the festival both Saturday and Sunday.
Santa Fe College would also like to thank the following community partners for their generous support of this year’s Spring Arts Festival including the SF Student Builders Association for rebuilding the Oak Grove Stage for the event.
