Advanced Welding Technology at Santa Fe College is a certificate program that prepares students to expand their opportunities in the workforce with a wide variety of welding skills and certifications.

The Advanced Welding Technology program places a greater focus on pipe welding knowledge and skill development, utilizing shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding (often called MIG), flux core arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding (often called TIG).

SF’s welding shop is an American Welding Society (AWS) accredited test facility, which affords SF students the opportunity to earn a valuable industry certification that is often preferred by employers.
