Introduction This document demonstrates the promotional techniques that VITALITY agency have developed for the REVIVE brand. Online promotion is a key factor for REVIVE, a sustainable and efficient way of communicating brand messages.Internet platforms such as social media pages, brand website and blog have been developed to generate maximum exposure upon launch of the magazine. Such methods coincide with viral marketing strategies such as the promotional video trailer and clean advertising. All methods of promotion are closely linked with the REVIVE brand ethos of eco friendly ideals and sustainable development.



BRAND IDENTITY The brand development is much more than simply choosing a typeface or designing a logo,as it is essential to produce a ‘brand’ to implement throughout the magazine and web media, the REVIVE ethos is visually represented by the branding through bold, contemporary visuals and clean cut layouts. The typefaces within the content of the magazine are modern yet have a traditional feel.

Website The REVIVE magazine website is an interactive source allowing readers to read more into the magazine brand. Together with an about us, portfolio, online media kit, and links to social media sites and the REVIVE blog it helps readers to keep up to date inbetween issues. There is also the option to purchase a digital copy of the magazine online at a reduced price to the printed magazine as part of the sustainable business model.







Blog http://revivemagazine.blogspot.com The REVIVE blog makes regular entries covering events, photo shoots, designers, videos and other related content surrounding sustainability. The blog is an interactive platform allowing readers to leave comments



Social Media REVIVE magazine has a Facebook and Twitter page to keep readers and followers up to date on various happenings for the magazine and also about anything REVIVE wants to promote. These two online platforms allow the magazine to become more exposed on an informal and personal level helping to put style into sustainability and allow discuss issues, provide feedback and communicate with the magazine and with each other.



APPLICATIONS REVIVE magazine will launch a brand new app for the iPhone and iPad featuring key additional interests of the magazine including neverbefore-seen interviews, photographs, audio and video from exciting designer photoshoots. The app will be available to download directly from the iTunes store and will cost ÂŁ0.99, it will not be a full edition of the magazine but will be the highlights and extras of this issue and future ones to come.





retail Retailing outlets for REVIVE magazine to appear at will be WH Smiths, newsagents around the UK and online at Magma Books and the REVIVE website where consumers can download digital copies of the magazine or be given the chance to subscribe for the printed version.



Viral Advertising


VITALITY agency will carry out clean advertising in fashion capital, London, a natural media technique which is effective and eco friendly. Clean Advertising is a highly targeted natural media which works by literally cleaning your advert into almost any high footfall urban location. Using custom made equipment crystal clear messages are created by selectively removing dirt, to create a stark contrast between the dirty surface and original as-new colour of the pavement. An influential and effective way to reach a specific demographic as such advertising will be placed around the streets of London near the high street shops, targeting the young fashion forward audience.


Promotional Video A promotional video will be posted on websites such as youtube, facebook and the REVIVE website. This viral marketing technique will be leaked out onto the internet after the exclusive launch party on 16th June 2011. This will aim to create an excitement and buzz about the new magazine exposing the brand to bloggers, press and potential readers 2 weeks before the launch date to trigger a word of mouth effect and develop initial interest.



launch event The exclusive launch event for REVIVE will take place at The Bureau Club in London, a prestigious venue close to the Vogue House. The event will take place on the 16th June 2011, two weeks prior to the official launch of the magazine. Press, bloggers and celebrities will be invited to the event who will enjoy an intimate night with organic canapes, live music and a champagne reception whilst being the first to view printed copies of the magazine and view the promotional video.





Invitation The REVIVE invitations for the exclusive launch event are in a postcard format printed on high quality recycled card, each invite will have a different photographic image on the back giving each guest and insight into the magazine’s strong visual content. The images are from the photo shoots included in the launch issue of REVIVE magazine, the invitation will be presented along with the CD press pack as shown below.

REVIVE SUSTAINABLE FASHION AND LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE LAUNCHES MAY 2011 REVIVE is a brand new cutting edge fashion and lifestyle magazine that reflects contemporary fashion through conscious design. It features high-end, fashion forward material showing readers an inspired, stylish and environmentally conscious way of living. REVIVE will launch the first issue of the magazine on 7th June 2011 and to celebrate the launch will be host an exclusive event at The Bureau Club, London on 26th May 2011. Sustainability has faced challenge and frustration due to the dull stereotype it has carried along with it for many years, but as our lifestyle choices are continually pushed towards greener solutions it was only a matter of time for fashion innovators and designers to catch up.
