MONOTYPE Flack Cambridge is a magazine both sold and written by the homeless community, making it automatically more interesting than other INSP magazines. It is also much more text based than magazines like The Big Issue, which is based more on images. This gives more scope to experiment with type.
MONOTYPE The headliner typeface Duotone Neue is so named due to it being based on Helvetica Neue, however it has been altered from a sans serif typeface to resemble a serif in varied weights. This typeface was designed to be used for headers throughout the magazine.
Can you spot them all?
MONOTYPE The body copy typeface used is consistenty Century Gothic Regular. The redesign of the spreads has kept the same features, for example, the poetry, and the spot the difference feature, which here has been made into a typographic edition.
