Blood Brothers Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It's Not True. Starring West End star and multi-platinum selling artist Marti Pellow returning to the role of the Narrator and the critically acclaimed Maureen Nolan, reprising her role as the tragic Mrs. Johnstone, in this smash hit musical. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multiaward winning Blood Brothers. Bill Kenwright's production surpassed 10,000 performances in London's West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the Standing Ovation Musical.

The Nutcracker

The Snow Queen

Presented by Russian State Ballet & Opera House

Presented by Russian State Ballet & Opera House

Presented by Moscow Ballet La Classique

Presented by Ballet Theatre UK

Grimethorpe Colliery Band

Following Rigoletto earlier this year, the renowned Russian State Ballet and Opera House is back with another world-class production, La Traviata, performed to a large live orchestra.

A ballet featuring a timeless score from incredible composer Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky. Swan Lake is a certified Russian classic, replete with evocative music and beautiful dance. This ballet, performed to a large live orchestra, has captured the imagination of many generations over the years and continues to attract audiences worldwide. With instantly recognisable music and a timeless story of good against evil, Swan Lake is the greatest of romantic ballets.

All is quiet in the great house as Clara creeps downstairs. The christmas tree stands alone in the darkness, as through the curtains the moonlight beams onto the colourful presents offered there.

Giuseppe Verdi’s haunting tragedy brings the splendour and gaiety of mid-19th century Parisian life to the stage. But there is also heartbreak in this tragic tale in which Violetta, a high-society courtesan with a heart of gold, sacrifices everything for the man she loves. It’s midnight as the clock strikes heralding in the spirit of christmas. Yet something stirs in the darkness beyond and thus unfolds this magical festive tale of The Nutcracker.

A re-telling of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale, following the story of Gerda and her quest to find Kay whom the Snow Queen has placed under an evil spell. Upon Gerda’s adventure she encounters a mysterious woman who tells her to continue travelling north, where she will find Kay and the Snow Queen’s Palace of Ice. Only Gerda’s love for Kay can release him from the spell and break the Snow Queen’s curse. Pomegranate Theatre
