Morecambe & Wise Rebooted Presented by Oh Yes! Productions Morecambe and Wise Rebooted is a live theatre version of a classic Eric and Ernie television show. If ‘the boys’ were still with us today what sort of sketches and routines would they be performing? That’s the question writers Max Martin and Mike Pannell asked themselves and they came up with a brand new concept and script which is not only topical and ‘of the day’ but stays true to the winning format

we are all familiar with. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the revival of the magic and genius of Britain's greatest TV comedy stars.

Stone, a humourless and dour man, invites Dee, a television playwright, over to his flat on the premise of discussing a script. Once there, she is surprised when superintendent Hallett, the man with whom she is having an affair, also arrives for an entirely different reason.

Amateur musical theatre presented by Peak Youth

Little Shop of Horrors

The Yeomen of the Guard

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon. These include, Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight Mission doll out to reform the evil-doers of Times Square; Sky Masterson, the slick high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love and Adelaide, the chronically ill night club performer.

Kipps and Ann were childhood friends. When they parted Kipps cut a sixpence in half and told Ann to look at it whenever she missed him. Years later they rekindled their friendship but things change when Kipps finds he has inherited a fortune. He forgets Ann and falls in love with Helen and is drawn into high society. They get engaged but all goes wrong when Helen's errant brother invests and loses all Kipps' money.

Blake

Russell Watson

Joan Armatrading

Salford's answer to Pavarotti with a debut album The Voice establishing him as a major international tenor. After starting in the pubs and working men's clubs of the north west of England, he's notched up unprecedented chart success on both sides of the Atlantic, has sung for big names including George W Bush and the Pope and has performed more times at Wembley than Beckham and Owen. He's also won four Classical BRIT Awards.

Musical Extravaganza

The Cavern Beatles

BRIT award-winning harmonisers Blake are back with a new album, new songs & their most uplifting live show yet. Inspired by the lush trio harmonies of The Three Tenors, The Bee Gees and The Lettermen, the boys will perform exclusive songs from their latest CD In Harmony along with hits from their 4 other award winning pop/classical albums, including Fields of Gold, Bring Him Home, Nessun Dorma and Chasing Cars. Celebrating eight years of touring worldwide. Blake still offer the most eclectic vocal mix of classical, pop, rock & musicals ever seen.

On 9 February 1961, The Beatles made the first of their 292 appearances at the now legendary Cavern Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool. Exactly 54 years on, the band fully endorsed and licensed by the same club is embarking on a new era in their remarkable history. Drawing on an extensive repertoire of hits and album tracks, the Cavern Beatles perform their entire 2 hour show completely live, using exact replicas of musical equipment used by the Beatles themselves and with no backing tracks, producing a fully authentic representation of the music.

Three times Grammy nominee, BRIT award nominee and Ivor Novello winner, Joan Armatrading MBE is recognised as one of the world’s leading singer, songwriter and guitarists. For her last major tour Joan has decided this is the perfect time to perform her first ever full scale solo concert. Her performances will include songs that span her entire career so far. The audience is guaranteed a fantastic mix of magical old favourites plus more recent compositions to fall in love with. Songs include Love and Affection, Willow, Drop the Pilot and Me.

The Fortunes Past and Present

The Simon and Garfunkel Story

The Carpenters Story

The Fortunes celebrate 51 years in show business with their fabulous 2015 Past and Present show which includes new songs, new stories and new anecdotes. The Fortunes and 'Brum Beat' followed hard on the heels of Mersey Beat and the sounds coming from Capital City, with groups like The Rolling Stones and the Kinks hitting the pop charts, but The Fortunes had something special! Fabulous vocals, lush harmonies and counter melodies made their hits instantly recognisable!

50th Anniversary Tour

A brand new tour. Phil Aldridge’s lavish arrangements and stunning vocal harmonies, and Claire Furley’s uncanny representation of Karen Carpenter, combine to bring back memories of pop’s most melodic duo. Featuring all the songs that made The Carpenters a legend in the world of music including They Long to be Close to You, We’ve Only Just Begun, I Won’t Last a Day Without You, Goodbye to Love, Yesterday Once More, Top of the World, Please Mr Postman, Solitaire and lots more in this brand new tour.

THU 28 MAY 2pm The incredible story of art's great revolutionaries and the collector who saved the Impressionist movement. In 1886, art collector Paul Durand-Ruel decided to exhibit the Impressionists in New York. This brave move reinvigorated a movement that was dying out in its native France. Wealthy Americans flocked to buy the works of Monet, Cezanne, Degas and their contemporaries. Soon, prestigious US galleries were filled with Impressionist masterworks. A major new international exhibition from the Musee du Luxembourg Paris, National Gallery London and Philadelphia Museum celebrates Durand-Ruel's far-sighted championing of these great artists. It presents what may well be the most comprehensive collection of their work ever assembled. This remarkable documentary enjoys unparalleled access to the treasures on display. It sets out to explore who the impressionists were and how and why they painted. The film asks what lies behind their art's appeal and why it continues to sell for millions. (90min)

FRI 5 JUN 7pm Cleopatra, the alluring and fascinatingly ambiguous Queen of Egypt, has bewitched the great Mark Antony, soldier, campaigner and now one of the three rulers of the Roman Empire. When Antony quarrels with his fellow leaders and throws in his lot with Cleopatra, his infatuation threatens to split the Empire in two. Antony & Cleopatra picks up Antony's story many years after Julius Caesar. Virtue and vice, transcendent love and realpolitik combine in Shakespeare's greatest exploration of the conflicting claims of sex and power, all expressed in a tragic poetry of breath-taking beauty and magnificence. The Globe's 2014 envisioning of this iconic play encapsulates these themes whilst deftly threading a sense of comedy throughout, and Olivier Award-winner Eve Best's Cleopatra 'kisses the audience' (Guardian) £27.50 with her 'magnetically humorous' Dinner (Evening Standard) performance. + Show (180min) Spring 2015 38 / 39

WED 10 JUN 7.15pm When Rodolfo meets Mimi they fall passionately in love. But their happiness is threatened when Rodolfo learns that Mini is gravely ill. Rodolfo, painfully aware that he cannot afford the medicine and care Mimì needs, separates from her. At the end of her life Mimì returns to Rodolfo's garret. They ecstatically embrace – but, despite the care of Rodolfo and his friends, Mimì dies. Rodolfo and Mimì's love story is given moving expression through Puccini's score, from their first meeting in Act I to their poignant reunion in Act IV. These moments of emotional intensity are contrasted with the colourful spectacle of the Café Momus and surrounding streets in Act II, where Puccini presents a cross-section of Parisian society in all its noise and vibrancy. La Bohème had a lukewarm reception at its premiere in 1896, but has since £27.50 captivated audiences round the world, Dinner making La Bohème one of the best-loved + Show of all operas. (175min)

WED 1 JUL 7.30pm Justina Gringyte stars in the first revival of Calixto Bieito's acclaimed production of Bizet's fiery opera, broadcast. Young solider Jose is so entranced by sultry gypsy temptress Carmen (Justina Gringyte) that he deserts the army. But Carmen subsequently falls for glamorous, dashing toreador Escamillo. Arguably the world's most popular opera, Bizet's redblooded depiction of lust and tragedy scandalised early audiences. First staged at the London Coliseum in 2012, Catalan director Calixto Bieito's fresh, bold and hugely acclaimed production updates the setting to the dying days of Franco's Spain. In Bieito's 'Carmen', those gorgeous melodies and red hot Spanish rhythms soundtrack a steamy battle of the sexes fought out in the evocative arena of the Spanish bullring. THU 2 JUL 7pm The Bard's much loved farcical play explores the chaos that unfolds between two estranged twin brothers, both called Antipholus, and one pair of estranged twin servants, both called Dromio. One Antipholus is astonished by his foreign hospitality; the other enraged by the hostility of his home town. Caught in the middle are the hapless Dromios, soundly beaten for obeying all the wrong orders. In their final film of 2015, Globe On Screen cap off a spectacular season of theatre with a refreshing dash of irreverent Shakespearean comedy. Starring Stefan Adegbola, Andy Apollo, £27.50 Dinner Paul Brendan, Linda Broughton. + Show (180min)

SUN 5 JUL 2.45pm The Swiss hero William Tell longs to liberate his people from the cruel Austrian occupation. As Tell is arrested his fellow revolutionaries, led by the young patriot Arnold and his Austrian lover Mathilde, gather forces to fight for Swiss liberty. Tell escapes in time to lead the victorious uprising. Guillaume Tell had its premiere in 1829 and acted as Gioachino Rossini’s final opera. Rossini's letters suggest he knew Guillaume Tell would be his farewell to opera – an idea that seems to be confirmed by the magnificent music he was inspired to produce. The score – harmonically daring and fiercely difficult for the singers. Italian rising star Damiano Michieletto makes £27.50 Dinner his Royal Opera House debut.
