EXPECTED LEARNING

Detectives/ Geometric figures

That the child can recognize and reproduce models with figures, shapes and geometric bodies.

Warm-up: In first stage I will describe what geometric figures are in general and I will show the characteristics of the square, circle, rectangle and triangle. Presentation: I will say that the figures are hidden everywhere and that is why we will be detectives and we will make magnifying glasses to find them Practice: They will use the magnifying glass according to the object they are going to observe to compare the compatibility of the characteristics of each geometric figure and they will draw the objects where the hidden geometric figures are and mark them with red. Production: Create magnifying glasses of each geometric figure described above and draw them. Wrap-up: I will invite the children to search in each object in their home to find the geometric figures.

When looking for the "hidden" figures in the house, they will identify the geometric figures and them characteristics.

1. Beginning Hi my name is Sarahí Campos and I am from the Benemérita Escuela Normal “Manuel Avila Camacho”. I’m going to introduce you to the geometric figures. 2. Characteristics of the geometric figures The geometric figures are flat and closed, they don’t have beginning or end. Square: has four sides the same size and has corners. The Circle: has no corners because has no sides, It´s all round. The triangle: has 3 sides, count on me, 1, 2, 3. Rectangle: has four sides, but unlike the square, it has two long sides and two short sides. I'm going to tell you a secret, geometric figures are hidden everywhere, that's why we will become detectives. * I will change clothes similar to a detective * Now we are ready to go in search of geometric figures 3. Make the material Every good detective needs a magnifying glass to investigate, so I'll show you how to do them. We are going to make a magnifying glass of each figure that previously presented and all you need is: -Carton -Crayons -Masking tape -Pencil -Rule -Scissors You can ask your parents for help to help you cut. The frame of each magnifying glass will be of the figures that were explained. When you've cut out each one, draw however you want.

When you finish coloring, we glue the frame of the figure with a small rectangle that will be to hold the magnifying glass. 4. End I will show you how to play. *We will look for geometric figures around us* Now draw the objects where the hidden geometric figures are and you will mark the hidden ones with red. * An example of a door will be shown and the rectangle of the door frame highlighted in red * There are figures hidden everywhere, apparently, they are very naughty, but you can find them and your mission is to search for them.
