BRIEF: Create brand elements for the Savannah and Bengal breeding cattery Feline wild. Create a strong and powerful brand that is gender neutral appealing to both men and women. Brand elements to design are a logo, business card and folder to contain important documents upon purchase of a cat. Consider method of production to suit a low budget, or ease to reprint things oneself.

THE LOGO: The logo needs to represent not only the focus of the company which is savannahs but the breeding aspirations and the type that Thomas wishes to achieve within Feline wild. The logo is a portrayal of a savannah cat with 50% serval (wild cat) genes. The logo appears very geometric inspired by african art, reflectove of the servals origin whom enhabit and emerged from Africa.

THE COLOURS: The colours/patterns of Bengal and savannah cats are some of the main features of what sets them apart from any other domestic cat. In order to stay true to the breed and give an honest representation I have coloured picked 6 colours in diverse shades of cream, sand brown and black from an image of a serval. These shades/shapes are used to build the geometric image.

THE BUSINESS CARD: The business card although has geometric aspects in place due to the logo, also takes on an organic appereance through the use of a craft paper texture. This gives a nod to nature and helps the business to appear more friendly and approachable. Also on the business card is a reference towards the famous spotted/rossested coats of Bengal and savannah cats. One of Thomas' main concerns is breeding cats wild wild cat like coats.

THE FOLDER: The folder is the branding element that apart from seeing the logo online, will be interacted most with, with customers. The folder is an extension of the business card in terms of aesthetics, but concentrates more on a friendly, approachable and warm tone of voice. This is potrayed via details such as congratulating customers on the arrival of their new cat, the allocation of images of the father and mother of their purchased kitten allows them to connect with their cat on another level. Functionality is also thought about considerably, encorporated into the folder design lays a slot in which the business card can be placed for easy access to feline wilds communication details.
