about the praxis program The Praxis Program is the synthesis of the 4-year developmental program of the OSCI. Being an integral part of the Theology of Catholic Social Vision (TH 141), it allows the students to engage with the marginalized sectors and experience being professionals-forothers. The program aims to put into practice the students’ abilities, talents and competence in their chosen profession in responding to the call for service. In this program, it is vital that the students undergo an immersion. It involves a two and a half day, week-end immersion (Friday-Sunday) with marginalized sectors of our society. This experience concretizes the situation of the poor in the lives of the students. Social analysis and discernment are key components in the deepening of experience to help them realize and understand the societal issues and its context. In the spirit of the common good and preferential option for the poor, students will be genuinely moved to render action in living out a faith that does justice.
