housing, offices and public equipment [São Paulo] vertical city, horitontal city developed with: Felipe Barradas Marco Scriboni

The design of housing+offices tower, together with a public equipment is included in the double population density policy of the center of Sao Paulo and diversification of plot occupancy modes, as set out in the new Master Plan of São Paulo (2014) . The project responds to these demands by two separate buildings: the public service building establishing a horizontal landmark in the center of the vertical city; and the housing+offices building, which composes more directly with existing verticality of the surroundings. The space between the buildings set up a large scaled public gallery, which accentuates the recreational potential of the center of São Paulo, usually fordibben or neglicted. 752.7

The challenge of designing your own home in a 4x4x4m cube was the theme of this project, which aimed to synthetic analysis of the concept of living through the abdication of named spaces - kitchen, bedroom, living room, etc. The project was developed from the repertoire of domestic activities , which are grouped according to the degree of privacy . Developed the intimate and social centers, the activities are combined, in order to configure two different environments:

This sustainable house represents a series of investigations in order to give environmental comfort and energy efficiency in hot and arid environments. The house is configured as a scaling due to the natural slope of the land , giving different perspectives and organizing social and private spaces of the users. The double coverage serves as an air filter and provides constant ventilation to every room in the house.

FAU Archive Contest

Digital Memory Pavilion developed with : Carolina Miki, Larissa Oliveira, Tadeu Baltar. 2

The proposed project for the FAUUSP Archive building reveals two elements that have long ago lost visibility in FAUUSP - the library projects and the stream that has been channelled to build Artigas building. Its materiality in steel and glass contrast with the exposed concrete texture FAU-USP, still proposing a permeable and accessible ground,

covered by a delicate marquise steel structure supported on slender metal columns. Associated with the pillars, interactive dashboards allow users’ interactions with the archive. The main block is comprised of two levels below the ground, both enveloped by a glass skin that delimits the climate-controlled area, protected from the weather. Its entrance is marked by a walkway, the consultation room and the

reception, which controls access to the collection and removal of items. The first basement includes the areas of collection and consultation, set back from the ground to ensure proper protection of the sunlight that environment demand. In the second basement, set up the restoration conservation areas and technical processing, the area inside the glass block, and a café and pleasant environment for visitors.

housing in São Paulo downtown [SãoPaulo]

PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT

occupying the emptiness

Developing a housing project in a plot of 4 meters large and 72 meters deep in front of the São Paulo cathedral, that was the challenge proposed to the housing+office buildings. Aligned with the proposed densification of São Paulo downtown, with the elimination of urban voids , the project proposes an internal square in the center of the block and with large common areas . The whole project consists of two buildings: the building facing the Cathedral Square , which can house services or studios, due to the increased visibility and proximity of noise sources , and the building facing Rua Quintino Bocayuva, at the other side of the plot, that dut to the different urban configuration , home to the largest housing units.

lighting design_Caminho Niemeyer [Niterรณi]

Bringing the beauty of Niemeyer curves from the darkness [Philips 2014]

Bring the beauty of Niemeyer curves for Niterรณi nightlife was the main goal of this lighting installation project. The project includes projectors for general lighting of the buildings

and embedded luminaires in the floor of the central square . While during the day , the lights embedded in the floor little interfere in the landscape, at night they offer several possibilities of public space use, without affecting the

original architecture. Besides, allows the realization of public events also at night, which is a rare nowadays. The entire project was thought to omit the light sources so as to minimally interfere in the architecture.

Company headquarters [Tel-Aviv]

Physical model and Plans - Bjarke Ingels Group - Winning Proposal in competition 2015

The aim of this competition was to propose a new headquarters complex in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, in the municipality of Ra’anana. The concept of the project was a composition of buildings and courtyards

that together configure different workspaces. Responding to the requirement of the client of combining both human scale and yet iconic building, the complex connects two-floors high towers facing the existing orange

fields to twelve-floors high edifices facing Highway N4. The main user’s circulation emphasizes the shape of the building by creating internal plazas with variable configurations.

1200 MM FACADE MODULE

1700 MM FACADE MODULE

The 800mm deep element is still not used to walk. However, this depth allows the façade to be able to contain a significant planter. Apart from the additional shading that plans create, the integration of the planters in the façade is an additional biophilic factor as plants improve the work environment. We propose that all 800mm modules integrate planters.

The 1200mm façade module is already deep enough to allow a balcony corridor. We design the module to have thinner vertical lamellas aligned at the exterior, where the interior is reserved to have a continuous balcony where employees can circulate. This element does not include a planter.

The largest element, with 1700mm depth, is a combination of the 800 and the 1200 mm ones, including both a balcony and a planter. Typically these elements are allocated at the south façade or at the top of the buildings in the interior of the campus, at the areas of highest façade solar exposure.

hualien residential [Hualien - Taiwan]

Renders, plans, sections, detail drawings in Bjarke Ingels Group [2015-2016]

This residential project in the city of Hualien, Taiwan, was inspired by the antique watercolors scrolls depicting the mountains of the country. The complex is composed by three main buildings to be erected in the first

phase and a fourth tower planned to be constructed as a second stage of the development. The shape of the buildings also responds to the sismic component of the country by the sucession of

structural walls. Free spaces and shared facilities are integrated in the complex, making Hualien Residential a potential case study of how utopian life in community may become real though architecture.

Office building in Lille - Competition at OMA - Office for Metropolitan Architecture

Compressed between different infrastructures in the city of Lille, north of France, the proposal for this office building was to react to the chaotic surroundings by the tectonic moves of the floors, result of the multiple

combinations of 12m, 15m and 18m office plan depths. Taking into consideration the Masterplan for Euralille developed by OMA in 1989, the project is based on three atriums, voids of the originally

proposed buildings, that are analogously swallowed by the chaos of the existing environment. The reduced allowed footprint at the ground floor houses a public plaza and retail connected to a plaza.

Final Project - Architecture Course, University of São Paulo

Located about 200m away from Vila Madalena Metro Station, this mixeduse building was developed according to the new policy of densifying the surroundings of public transport system. The building is composed by four

main parts: firt of all: the central plaza, which is the result of the original landscape consolidation; the second element is the commercial block, which is mainly horizontal and contrast with the original landscape; the third

element is the tower that instead of relating to the ground is related to the horizon. Finally, the fourth element is the rooftop, that establishes the end of the building by relating to the sky with a sky plaza. Program

Moving Cubes Expo 92 Pavilion, by architect Marcos Acayaba developed with : Ana Costa, Ana Ramos, Bruna Mirabile, Denise Moreira, ThaĂs Bianchini

The exploration of different possibilities of articulation was the goal of the model in the first series, which consists of cubes that rotate , resulting in several opening

possibilities to architecture - window, skylight, doors. The model shown in the second series of the page is part of a study to restore the work of Marcos Acayaba,

one of the most important Brazilian architects. It represents the proposal made by the architect to the Brazilian Pavilion in the Expo 92, realized in Seville, Spain.
