Sculpture Sculpting the Human Head
Saturday, May 16 – Sunday, May 17, 10am-4pm Instructor: David Cumbie
Studio 7, Main Campus Professional sculptor David Cumbie guides students as they create life-size busts. Students learn techniques for capturing accurate proportions of the head and a variety of facial features during this intensive, two-day workshop. $240 Members/$260 Non-members
Bronze Casting Workshop
Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, 10am–4pm, and Sunday, May 31, 3–6pm Instructor: David Cumbie
Foundry, Main Campus David will introduce students to a variety of techniques in the creation of wax sculptures. Once the wax sculpture is made, students prepare their waxes with gates and sprues in preparation for the ceramic mold making process. Waxes are coated with a state-of-the-art ceramic shell, then the wax is burned out and the molten bronze is poured into the molds. $380/$400
Ceramics Tabletop Fountains, A Child/Adult Workshop Sunday, May 17 & Sunday, May 24, 1–4pm Instructor: Doug Bringle
Studio 4 & Studio 7, Main Campus The soothing sound of trickling water can make a room or patio into an oasis of tranquility. We’ll create unique fountains that reflect your inner yearnings for peaceful contemplation. Escape is only a workshop away! Single adults welcome. $115/$135
Spring Baskets from Clay Thursdays May 21 & 28, 10am–1pm Instructor: Belinda Glennon
Studio 7, Main Campus Cabin fever got your creativity pent up? Discover the therapeutic properties of clay as you create a functional basket. Explore a bonanza of choices for self‑expression — tall or wide, textured or smooth, natural handle or faux. On the 21st we will build our baskets and return on the 28th to glaze them. Class limit is six people to allow for social distancing. $70/$90

Painting & Drawing Art Journaling
Saturday, May 16, 10am–3pm Instructor: Patricia Byron
Studio 1A, Main Campus Art journaling is a visual diary where your memories, emotions and thoughts come to life onto your pages. Through the freestyle use of color, words, photos, and imagery, create a personal art journal that will allow you to explore the world around you. $100 Members/$120 Non-Members
Dramatic Sunsets with Transparent Watercolor Demonstration Tuesday, May 19, 10am–12pm Instructor: Patty Kane Studio 1A , Main Campus
Ever see a beautiful sunset and wonder how to paint those fresh, dramatic colors? Patty Kane will demonstrate how WOW (Wet-On-Wet) layering can give you alive and glowing color of a sunset. Two-hour demonstration with time for question and answer session. $30/$30
Plein Air Painting in Winter Garden Tuesday, May 19, 9am–12pm
Instructor: Noreen Coup Meet at the Winter Garden Splash Pad, 104 S. Lakeview Ave, 34787 Join Award Winning Artist Noreen Coup on location around the charming Historic Downtown Winter Garden. Sights include painting the quaint Streets and Shops of Historic Downtown Winter Garden, Farmers Market, West Orange Trail landscapes and lakes, Barns and Old Country Manor Houses. Students must bring their own supplies including a Plein Air Easel. Instructor has a few to loan for new Plein Air painting students. We will paint in Oil with brushes and palette knives. $75/$95
Painting Still-Lifes that Move Wednesday, May 20, 6–9pm Instructor: Robert Ross Studio 1A , Main Campus
Students will paint still-lifes using ordinary objects found at home and in the studio. Instructor will emphasize strong composition and design. Students will learn to find good design in random arrangements and how to arrange objects to create flow, movement and surprise in their paintings. Open to oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel artists. $75/$95

Painting & Drawing (continued) Relief Printmaking Workshop Friday, May 22, 10am–2pm Instructor: David Hunter Studio 1B , Main Campus
In this workshop, participants will be using linocut knives and 4x6” Easy Cut blocks to create linocut relief prints of their own designs. Various (water-based) inking options will be introduced and participants can choose to try as many as time allows as well as produce as many prints as time allows. Participants will take blocks and all prints home with them. $75/$95

Ever see a beautiful sunset and wonder how to paint those fresh, dramatic colors? Patty will demonstrate how WOW (Wet-On-Wet) layering can give you alive and glowing color of a sunset. This class will open your eyes to the value of using a limited, transparent palette to achieve glowing colors in watercolor. $85/$105
Landscapes and Seascapes in Acrylic Thursday, May 28, 9am–3pm Instructor: David Hunter
Studio 1B, Main Campus The focus of this class is to explore techniques and methods to create beautiful landscape and seascape compositions. Participants will work from their own photos or inspirations while working with acrylic paints. Canvas or gessoed board, no larger than 16x20. $150/$170
Problem Solving in Oil or Acrylic Saturday, May 30, 10am–3pm Instructor: Barbara Tiffany
Studio 1A, Main Campus In this class, students can bring in unfinished or completed paintings, or work on new ones. Whether it is a still life, portrait or landscape, students will receive guidance into improving the overall scope of their painting. Students may also work from a photograph, making it into a dramatic oil painting. $125/$145

Photography A Morning Photo Walk Across Winter Park Saturday, May 16, 9am–1pm Instructor: Peter Schreyer
On Location Enjoy a leisurely three mile photo-walk across the picturesque city of a Winter Park, exploring and photographing some of the instructor’s favorite sites. Workshop stops will include scenic gardens, parks and historic buildings. Halfway through our walk we will stop for coffee and croissants. Open to all levels, working in digital or film (free loaner cameras available). $50/$70
Architectural Photography of Local Landmarks Saturday, May 23, 9am–4pm, plus follow up review TBA Instructor: Chris Casler
On Location Film and digital photographers will make interior and exterior images of Winter Park landmarks such as Knowles Chapel at Rollins College, Casa Feliz and the newly renovated historic Capen-Showalter House. Sessions will be interspersed with technical demonstrations and discussions on perspective, depth of field control, color correction, and effective application of HDR techniques. $150/$170
Introduction to Film Photography: From Exposure to Print in One Day! Saturday, May 30, 10am–4pm
Instructors: John Baker & Peter Schreyer Studio 5, Main Campus Have you ever wondered what all the buzz about film is all about? Find out why there is such a resurgence in this classic photographic medium! Spend an enjoyable day with two experienced film photographers on the lovely Crealdé campus, photographing and exposing film and learn how to develop it and make enlargements in the darkroom – all in one day! All materials provided, including film, photographic paper, chemistry, and the use of loaner cameras. $170/$150
