One day Adam went for a walk with God through the Garden of Eden. They talked about the animals, and Adam wondered why the animals didn’t have names. God said, “You can name them, Adam.” Then God brought all the animals to Adam so that Adam could name them. First, an animal with long ears and a soft muzzle came. Adam said, “I’ll name you Donkey.” “Heehaw, heehaw!” said the donkey as a way to say ‘Thank you’.

Next in line was a very large animal. He looked so soft that Adam felt like hugging him. “Groar, groar,” it said, and Adam replied, “Bear! Bear will be a good name for you.”

Then, an animal with a lot of fur but smaller than the bear came trotting up. It was white and fluffy and had black legs. “Hello, Sheep,” Adam said. “Baa, baa,” the sheep replied.

“Meow, meow,” said the next animal and brushed up against Adams leg. “Oh!” said Adam and lifted the animal up in his arms. “You are a soft one,” Adam smiled and said, “Your name is Cat.” “Meooow,” said the cat and purred softly.

A large animal came up to Adam and looked at him with huge eyes. Her tail was whisking flies away. “Good morning, Mrs. Cow,” said Adam and stroked one of her large ears. “Moo, moo,” she replied and turned around slowly, quite content with her new name.

Next, a small, green creature looked up from the ground. His green color almost made him disappeared in the green grass. Adam couldn’t really see him, so he leaned forward. Suddenly, the green little animal jumped high to catch one of the flies the cow had whisked away. Adam was so surprised that he fell down in the soft grass. “Haha!” Adam laughed. “You are funny, Frog,” he said, so the little, green animal was named Frog. That evening Adam and God talked for a long time about all the new friends they had met that day - the donkey, the bear, the sheep, the cat, the cow and the funny frog.
