Cedar Creek Lodges
You’ve just been on a serene bushwalk, surrounded by ancient rainforest, soaking up the sounds and smell of nature. The clear waters of Cedar Creek are too inviting to ignore, so a quick dip or a relaxed sundowner (purchased from the Kiosk) is calling.
Following a chillaxed few hours, you return to your ‘Courtyard Spa Room Luxe’ for a deep bath or outdoor jacuzzi, this is a prelude to a romantic dinner immersed in greenery. The Rainforest Restaurant features a menu that optimizes fresh produce from the local region, coupled with a playful drinks and dessert menu. Your romantic dinner for two is followed by a night-cap at the cocktail bar, and stroll of the art gallery. There is also the option of a game of pool before retiring back to your room for a movie and perhaps the next day, a leisurely breakfast followed by an inhouse spa treatment - or for those who want more outdoor play, a day of activities in Thunderbird Park.
This delightful “couples” style experience is on offer at Cedar Creek Lodges with accommodation options such as the creek side ‘Woodland Tents’ (and yes, this is glamping with an outdoor spa bath and open roof shower), ‘Creek Lodges’ featuring king sized beds, sitting room, kitchenette and a log fire, or the newly renovated (and our favourite) hotel style ‘Courtyard Spa Room Luxe’ and the ‘Courtyard Spa Room’. The ‘Courtyard Spa Room Luxe’ really is a drawcard to those who wish to escape and experience a more private and relaxed atmosphere, a hotel in the mountains type vibe. Featuring raked ceiling, open plan bedroom and bathroom with standalone bath, dreamy king size bed, large T.V. plus private courtyard with fire pit, BBQ and outdoor Jacuzzi – this offering meets the needs of those seeking seclusion, privacy and hotel luxury.
Perfect for couples on their babymoon, honeymoon and those who just need to chill.
The Rainforest Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, a long lunch or romantic dinner. Surrounded by the calls of birdlife and soft greenery, with indoor / outdoor dining options, the stunning bifold doors and deep low-set windows really allow guests to take in the surrounds of this spectacular location.
As mentioned earlier, Cedar Creek Lodges is also home to the iconic Thunderbird Park, an adventure-based
outdoor activities park, set in the foothills of Tamborine Mountain National Park. Activities such as the awardwinning TreeTop Challenge, Canyon Flyer Zip Line Tour, Thunderegg fossicking, swimming in the radiant rock pools dotted along beautiful Cedar Creek to name a few, are all on offer to groups and couples. The accommodation side of the business caters for an extensive range of demographics, from large groups, weddings, corporate functions, to families, and of course couples.
Cedar Creek Lodges is for those who really want to connect with nature. Once you arrive, there is no need to go anywhere else, fun adventure-based activities, bushwalks, creek dips, cocktails, and spa treatment and Jacuzzi’s. Cedar Creek Lodges is affordable, luxurious, playful and relaxing, and you won’t want to be leaving in a hurry.
We were hooked at cocktails and jacuzzi!
