TOWN SQUARE PROGRAMS The following events takes place outdoors in the Schaumburg Town Square Amphitheater, located at the corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads. Masks are optional for vaccinated patrons and required for unvaccinated patrons and all patrons ages 2-11.

ORIGAMI EXHIBITION 2021 DROP IN • Central Rasmussen Room Thursday, Sept. 23 - Sunday, Sept. 26 Join the Chicago Area Origami Society (CHAOS) and Windy City Origami as they showcase an international exhibition from origami designers worldwide. Hands-on demos will take place throughout this 4-day exhibit.

KALEIDOSCOPE EYES Monday, Aug. 2 • 6:45-8:15 p.m. This acoustic Beatles tribute band captures the magic of the songwriting and harmonies of the Fab Four. Rain date: Tuesday, Aug. 3.

DROP IN • Hanover Park Branch Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, Aug. 2 - 13 Noon – 2 p.m. • 1-18 years This summer, stop by our Hanover Park Branch to pick up a free, nutritious grabn-go meal box. Each box serves one child and includes breakfast and lunch for two days. Meals are available to all children 18 or younger. To support social distancing, parents and/or guardians may pick up meals and bring them home to their children. Use Curbside Pick-Up or come inside to pick up your meal box. As Mayra Zarate plays with her daughter Valencia in the Enchanted Forest, she recalls her early days of using the Library to do research for college papers. “We like exploring different libraries and playgrounds,” she said. “This one is huge and Valencia loves the nooks based on children’s stories here in the Enchanted Forest.” Little Valencia certainly seemed to be enjoying herself as she explored Mole’s Cottage from The Wind in the Willows and tried out the chairs in the area by The Tale of Benjamin Bunny. “This is her first time here,” Mayra said, “but we’ll definitely be back.”
