What interesting times these are! Well…challenge accepted—our creative Librarians have developed a different type of Summer Reading Experience for your enjoyment. Registration for “Imagine Your Story” begins on June 12th and will run through July. All information regarding the program is available at schertzlibrary.org. We’ve had to operate in very unusual ways over the last two months. Heartfelt thanks go out to our supportive community members for their understanding and patience with the changes. Library services will continue to be modified for the immediate future as we work through ways to safely provide them to you. Bibliotheca’s cloudLibrary is the newest way for library customers to enjoy e-books and e-audiobooks. With a library card and the cloudLibrary app, customers have access to over 150,000 items! The app offers features that make browsing and borrowing super easy. Users can favorite, mark as read, and sort a record of their borrowing history, helping them manage previously and currently borrowed items. Users can also view or cancel holds, renew items, and receive reminders. cloudLibrary offers the convenience of a virtual library card. It can store a digital version of your card on your phone or device. The virtual card can then be used for any library transaction that traditionally requires a physical card, eliminating the frustration of a forgotten or misplaced card. Users can store multiple cards and switch between accounts with ease. The new service is free-of-charge to all Schertz Public Library patrons, requiring only a valid library card. The app is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or by visiting yourcloudlibrary.com. Users will need to follow the prompts and log in using their library card number and PIN.
