WENTZ NON-TRADITIONAL AND TRANSITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT TEXTBOOK AWARD
2012-2013 academic year Deadline: March 2, 2012 The Wentz Foundation is proud to recognize the needs of OSU students seeking undergraduate degrees at OSU- Stillwater and OSU-Tulsa, including those with special experiences and challenges to overcome. Therefore, the Wentz Foundation sponsors up to $1,500 textbook scholarships for those who qualify as a result of persistence and good work that predict future success. The guidelines include the following: 1. Student must be 21 years old or older at the time of application. 2. Student must have had some break in their academic career and/or experienced unique personal and academic challenges, as described in the essay. 3. Student must have earned a minimum of 12 college-level hours at OSU with a 2.5 cumulative graduation/retention gpa. 4. Student should demonstrate financial need as described in the essay and through Financial Aid reports. 5. Amount of award will be pro-rated by full-time/part-time status (e.g., 12+ hours = $750 per semester; 6-11 hours = $375 per semester). 6. Awards will be made for the academic year 2012-13 and deposited in the student’s bursar account to be used for the purchase of textbooks, supplies, and other school-related expenses. 7. A minimum semester gpa of 2.5 is required for continued aid for the second semester (minimum 6 or 12 hours, depending on full or parttime status).
