Who is Snoop
Snoop Dogg has been an impactful person for the black community ever since he first appeared on the scene in the 1990s. Ever since then, he has appeared in music videos, movies, commercials, and even children’s television.
What did he do?
He was a part of the era of music that set and helped define the future decades of hip-hop and rap. His flow and style set the bar with his album Tha Doggfather (1996).

He is most well-known for his marijuana use and advocacy especially noted in the documentary Grass is Greener. The documentary goes way into the depth of the illegalization, history, and present-day marijuana and its advocators.

As a Kid, I first heard Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Lil Wayne from my older sisters growing up

Why they deserve a monument?
Snoop Dogg deserves a monument because he Inspires the black community, helping with donations, teaching, coaching football, and helping people who have been arrested for marijuana.
What the monument will look like.
For the monument, I would have a life size (6.4’) snoop Dogg posing standing up while leaning back, and throwing up his thumb, pointer finger, and middle finger on both hands. In this position, he would be rocking his iconic two strand hair twist with beads at the end and standing next to a comically large joint.
Location 1
The statue would be placed next to the south side dining area at George Mason, underneath the painting.
I chose this location specifically because it is a dining hall where food is served and to refer to people who smoke weed and get munchies
Location 2
I would also put a monument of Snoop Dogg outside of every weed dispensary just like Ronald McDonald for McDonald’s.
