We believe that this school is unique and the relationships we develop with our children and families enable us to create a friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere. Our committed teaching and support staff strive to bring out the very best in our children and equip them with the skills they will need for the future.

Aim High Be Responsible, Care and Respect

“We love coming to school because we do special things like going on visits. Year 4 Pupil

The most effective learning comes from having hands on, enjoyable and memorable experiences that feed the imagination and fuel the desire to find out more. We recognise and encourage talents and skills of all kinds and develop independent learners. The key skills we teach encourage children to become lifelong learners and caring, sensitive citizens of the future.

together we learn Whitefield Primary is very much at the heart of the community, celebrating Christian festivals, holding charity fundraising events and participating in the Penwortham gala. Many visitors are welcomed throughout the year, including artists, theatre companies, sportsmen and women, uniformed officers and past pupils on their road to success. We work hard looking for innovative ways to extend the range of opportunities available to our pupils and their families. Parents are an important part of the successful school team and children achieve their best when home and school work well together.

“My child goes into and comes out of school happy, the staff are approachable and visible in the playground for a meet and greet, which makes everyone feel welcome.” Parent

Whitefield Primary school offers a varied range of activities for all ages. We also enhance the curriculum with a wide and diverse assortment of educational visits linked to the creative curriculum.

We have a thriving before and after school club on site… Big Oaks, Little Acorns (BOLA) was formed in 2005. It is open 38 weeks of the year from 7.30am to 9am and 3.30pm to 6pm for the children of Whitefield Primary School. It is a popular and child focussed club providing the necessary care for working parents.

“BOLA is really cool, we get a chance to do our homework as well as chilling out with our friends..” Year 4 Pupil
