Der fl exible Rücken bietet optisch ein schützendes Schild.
Jason 391 is a master of reduction. The armrests of the sofas are more slim-line than those on Jason 390, the seating space is smaller. This model does not feature fold-down armrests. Both models concentrate on the essentials, ensuring great seating comfort. Visually, the flexible back looks like it is a protective shield.

The initial design idea determines the shape. Like a flower stretching towards the light, the Bellows Chair stretches out towards its owner with an invitation to sit down. The conical body grows from a solid base and then opens up. Austere-looking inside, gathered in soft folds on the outside, Bellows can change its height by up to ten centimetres. The Bellows Dining Table also plays with the refined gathers. In 1956, Germany was still being subjected to »rust belt baroque«, a style of kitschy furniture. The whole of Germany? No, because a small bucket seat appeared on the scene that was to change the design of the age. Its allies came from Scandinavia, the Bauhaus and the avant-garde. Now, the armchair 369 is back. In the Classic Edition it reminds us of the fact that Walter Knoll was often an advocate of the avantgarde and that the company is still creating designs today which will enjoy lasting validity.
