metaverse architect The virtual reality world playing an important role in our life, especially after the pandemic situation and experiencing the quarantine, shutting down the businesses and schools, the idea of creating the real world virtually got more powerful and many companies started to bring new ideas and revealing virtual environment like a metaverse. What is the role of Architecture in the future of the virtual reality world and how an architect can be helpful to create a meaningful space, maybe we can be the bridge between the real world and virtual world by thinking about unbuilt buildings and cities, design and experience the space and idea without any boundaries and limitation or any other profession like engineers or construction workers, we can create our own world and share it the world! the opportunity to meet different cultures at the same time in a space without any regulations, visa problems and share the data, building the fictional and sci-fi world and give everyone the opportunity to live in it and use this platform to transfer themself in any realm they wish! a digital utopia!

Provocations

8

Week 01 Friends & Enemies By presenting the idea and identifying two positions, one is a friend which is the main thesis idea and on the other side is the enemy who criticizes and opposes the idea. To provoke is to pro-voke, to “call forth,” to speak out, and stimulate response and dialogue from an audience. While they can anger, annoy, and insult, provocations can be critical in positive ways and enact new approaches to a problem. Provocations can mark key moments in history when different voices or attitudes contend with one another around important issues and urgencies to turn things around. They are about not just what needs to be said, but how, and to whom.

Week 03 Provocation Workshop

w LLIAM YOUNG All cities are fictions. Their literal edges are nebulous, and their physical definitions are being endlessly rewritten, but their boundaries come into focus as shared narratives. The fiction of a city can weigh as much as its physical shadow. Such cities can exist on the network or as a consensus. They are shaped like stories and coalesce around common practices or conditions of belonging. They are lived and occupied, read and watched with consequence and meaning. They are products of culture and, in turn, produce culture. How we shape and engage the spaces around us is largely determined by mediums of fiction. In film, video games and literature we have always imagined alternative worlds as a means to understand our own world in new ways. Fictional worlds can act as sites in which to prototype new scenarios and emerging cultures. In their speculative streets, we play out unexpected and unintended futures, along with their associated social and political imaginaries. Speculative worlds are teleportation machines, where we can immerse

ourselves in the various consequences of the decisions we face today. They can be both cautionary tales or roadmaps to an aspirational future. Architects once speculated on the impacts of industrialisation and then mass production, and now we must be narrating the imminent arrival of driverless cars, seamless augmented reality, or artificial intelligence. Ideology rarely evolves at the same pace as our technology but through the practices of worldbuilding we can imagine and speculate on the implications and consequences of these systems. The fictional worlds we design can give form to our most wondrous technological possibilities and gravest concerns. In this Provocations workshop we will travel on a journey through a collection of imaginary cities and discuss the power of such fictions for us as designers and citizens of a world on the edge of apocalypse.

Week 04 Bridge between Architecture and Metaverse

T h e t e r m v i r t u a l re a l e s t a t e , designing a home, gallery, museum or a gathering space for meetings and spending time with no boundaries, geographical location or visa problems for family members in different part of the world and cultures or building a church for people from different countries and pursuing an integrated goal, praying, working, making connections, and relationships. Metaverse would be a bridge between the fictional world and architecture. building the future world by making the impossible possible.

Week 04 Architectural competition in the Metaverse

Searching for a competition to design an architectural space such as art galleries, museums, shops, gathering space and meeting rooms, an office, or any other valuable spaces for the future of architecture in the virtual world. A digital competition calling for designers, architects, and artists to create new virtual worlds. the event will prompt more designers to create interactive and social 3D environments for the metaverse, an emerging digital universe that exists in parallel to the real world. Designers can make their virtual worlds using whatever 3D modeling software

they have, such as Rhino, Blender or Gravity Sketch. Winners have the opportunity to mint a specific NFT and also different amount of prizes.

Week 07 Experience different mataverse platforms to find a functional environment for this project. Some of the popular platforms like sandbox, decentraland , cryptovoxels, somnium etc. Since buy or renting a land very expensive looking for a Metaverse platform to start building an enviroment was a challenge.

The Monaverse is a metaverse platform with free access for people who are interested to build a world, this metaverse benefiting the unity software and it gives the opportunity to create an NFT version of the project!

REVERSE CHARACTERISTICS – METAVERSE

Questions: - What type of educational space? an architecture and design school? SCI-Arc in the metaverse? - How can an educational space be different in the virtual world? - How accessible this space can be to students from different countries? - What qualities a virtual school can provide? different language? - What kind of events and activities provided? and how different from the real world? - What is the variety of space? classrooms? galleries? pin-up space?

Week 09

REVERSE CHARACTERISTICS – METAVERSE

The Metaverse is a virtual reality world that allows us to experience a variety of unusual possibilities and environments without limitations or regulations. Thinking about Different physical characteristics, for example, no gravity and ability to fly, identifying new textures and materials to build and create a space, many other qualities that we cannot experience in the real life. In other words, making what is impossible in real life possible! I am interested to design an educational space, related to architecture and design ( SCI-Arc) to challenge existing architectural conventions, and benefit the capabilities of this virtual environment to provide a better service, playfulness, and technology, translating the tectonics and exterior/interior relationships, circulatory system, aesthetic quality and thinking how these characteristics will alter to the new world. On the other hand, creating an environment more accessible to every student around the world, far from any geographical restrictions, fewer expenses, and more ability to provide better service such as different languages or virtual design environments and galleries,

presenting student projects and ideas as an NFT, and make it more accessible for other universities or architectural firms. An Opportunity to add more value and prepare a better situation for the future, also this would provide a good situation for me as an architect to create a space with different statics and possibilities, creating an SCI-Arc version in the metaverse, using the different physical characteristics, and translating those statistics to the Reverse World. For example, the visuals of the space that I am thinking of translating the SCI-Arc building from a horizontal element to vertical and benefit this world to provide many activities and spaces also challenge how aesthetic change can reflect cultural shifts. The Metaverse will provide me this chance to argue how an aesthetics of the metaverse will differ from current architectural formal qualities.

REVERSE CHARACTERISTICS – METAVERSE Thinking about how different educational programs can function in the metaverse and what are the challenges to design a space , classroom , library , exhibition hall, etc. What architectural parameters will be different and how they can translate in the virtual environment. Educational programs transition to the Metaverse: 1. Classrooms / Studio Space 2. Exhibition hall / Gallery 3. Event hall / Keck hall - Public events, Lectures 4. Workshops / Labs - Ability to model in virtual environment 5. Library - access to books , articles , videos 6. Retail store / shop 7. Office area / Conferance rooms

REVERSE CHARACTERISTICS – METAVERSE Some visual examples of different spaces from reality to the metaverse: 1. Classrooms / Studio Space Will be accessible to students from different parts of the world,, different languages, easy access to class archive recordings. The environment of studio an be abeusted to the topic to be more helpful for students to understand the course. This environment can have specific characteristics for instance, gravity for each obj, wall material etc.
