Waste is a terrible thing to waste. If you don’t recycle with Mid America, you’ll never know how much more your waste is worth. We understand the paper recycling market better than just about anyone, and we know what other service providers are lacking. How do we know? Over 90 years of industry experience has taught us how to overcome challenges and grow. We also conducted a comprehensive study on the challenges our customers face.
4
“Is there any way we can reduce the hours our staff spends recycling?” “Too much of our waste is ending up in landfills.”
“Do you have a solution to our environmental challenges?”
“Too much paper is being wasted. I need to increase my recycling rates.”
“I know I’m not making as much revenue as I could, but I don’t know why.”
Customers tell us all about their struggles with waste “What kind of equipment do we need to streamline our processes?”
“How can I make more money from segregating paper grades?”
“We have a new zero waste initiative. We’re not sure how to achieve it.”
“What can I do to improve my waste handling?”
“Can you help us find new, more reliable revenue streams for our waste?”
“Our customers expect us to recycle more waste. Can you help with that?”
5
We turn waste streams into growing value streams. At Mid America, our culture is based on the principles of continuous improvement. We design recycling solutions for commercial and newspaper printing companies, box manufacturers, fulfillment and distribution centers, contract packagers, processors, and other similar companies who have paper waste streams. Our National Account Managers analyze how waste is generated, how waste flows through plants, how loads are shipped, how processes can be improved, and how to generate more revenue per ton. 6

Mill-direct insights earn a higher price for your waste. Paper mills have idiosyncracies, and no two are the same. Mid America has built strong relationships with numerous mills, and we have unique insights into their operations from visiting each one of them. We know the equipment they’re using, and precisely which paper grades they need, down to being able to match individual mill pulping machines with the most optimal fiber inputs.
12
Mill-direct relationships from coast to coast Paper mills rely on our supply expertise, which means we can secure a premium over prevailing market prices through the natural ups and downs of the market. This helps our partners gather more revenue from waste, and it’s made possible by insights most recycling vendors can’t offer.

Every service is optimized for revenue generation At our facility, we process over 50 grades of paper, and operate high speed balers, shredders, sorters, and guillotines. Our training programs will help your personnel improve safety and capture value with solutions we’ve used at our own plant. In addition, equipment and program recommendations will reduce handling steps, increase safety, and eliminate costly rejections and downgrades. We have mission-critical logistics services as well. Our own trucking fleet has 150 trailers, backed by a network of freight brokers, individual carriers, electronic logistics boards, and 3rd party logistics partners. Overseeing it all is a team of coordinators in charge of our brokerage division’s transportation needs. 14
