Architectural Committee Review By Michele Holzman SRCA Architectural Committee Chair
GET TO KNOW YOUR HOA Have you ever been to a Scottsdale Ranch HOA meeting? If not, you don’t know what you are missing. The Architectural Committee meets twice a month and the Board meets once a month* and we hardly ever see residents at these meetings. It is really a great place to learn about what is happening where you live and would help you understand why certain decisions are made about the properties that surround your home. I have been a member of the Architectural Committee since I moved here 3 years ago from Arrowhead Lakes, where I also served on the Architectural Committee. I chose to volunteer here to help me assimilate into Scottsdale Ranch and to have some input into my community. It is also a great way to meet new and interesting people that are your neighbors and call them your friends. The Architectural Committee reviews your requests for paint colors, walls, decks, landscape changes and other exterior features. This isn’t intended to stifle individual creativity, but rather it ensures the integrity and beauty of our community. It also protects you from situations such as neighbors painting their house purple or erecting a structure that has a negative impact on your property. Our meetings are open to all residents of Scottsdale Ranch. Whether you have lived in the Ranch for 20 years or 2 months, we would love to see you at OUR meetings and look forward to your input. Come join us and meet the fantastic staff that works every day for YOU!! *Architectural Committee meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 3:30p.m. and the Board of Directors meet on the 4th Tuesday at 4:30p.m.
Community Leadership Committee Review By Barbara Sarwar SRCA Community Leadership Committee Chair
The Community Leadership Committee serves as a channel to exchange information amongst the sub-associations and the master association that is beneficial to Scottsdale Ranch as a whole. This committee is comprised of Board members and other resident volunteers as well as the expertise of Sonja Perez, to find and arrange interesting topics. The group is designed to keep the various sub-associations within Scottsdale Ranch informed on various aspects of managing an HOA. The Committee meets several times a year to plan the informative programs requested or suggested by the interested HOAs. Members are kept informed on laws and insurance issues annually, as well as other topics, such as landscaping, water usage, and other areas of local interest. Each meeting includes a light lunch and the opportunity to meet and get together with fellow HOA Board members.
Thank You Volunteers! We would like to thank all the SRCA Committee volunteers for all their hard work, time and dedication to ensure that Scottsdale Ranch continues to be such a wonderful place for all to call home.
