Here are the highlighted changes to the Architectural Rules. Be sure when consulting the Architectural Rules that you use the online copy from our website. The website always hosts the current set of rules. Just click the blue and white house on the Scottsdale Ranch website main page www.scottsdaleranch.org that says, “plan my project” for all things architectural. Umbrellas Front yard umbrellas - Require approval before installation. • Material - Material: Recommended canopy materials include polyester, acrylic, and olefin. Thatch and plastic are not permitted. Recommended post and frame materials include metal, wood, and fiberglass. • Color and design of canopy - Only solid colors are allowed. The umbrella shall be complimentary to the other colors used on the subject property or in the neighborhood. • Size - Diameter shall be appropriate for the space; not overhang any surrounding structures; and in no case be larger than ten (10) feet. Height at peak shall not exceed 8’-6”.
