June 27th -July 6th, 2020 Join us for an experience of a lifetime! Experience friendship and excitement of VenturingFest 2020 at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. Tour through Virginia to Washington, D.C. and see the history of our nation. Option 1 - Meet up at the Summit: Venturers and Advisors of Area 4. Register through the VentuingFest 2020 website and book your own travel plans to and from your own choice of airport. then meet up with the contingent at the Summit for an unforgettable experience on June 28th-July 3rd. Cost: $45 for 3 contingent t-shirt (You pay your own VenturingFest Registration fee and traveling costs) Option 2 - Non-Flight Touring: Venturers and Advisors of Area 4. Register with our contingent leader for this touring option by April 15th. Book your own travel plans to and from your own choice of airport. then meet up with the contingent at the airport in Charlotte, NC, on June 28th. Travel with the contingent to VenturingFest 2020 and 4 days of touring after VenturingFest. Return home from Washington, D.C. on July 6th to your destination. Cost: $775 for youths and adults. Cost includes 3 contingent T-shirts, hotel, and ground transportations during the tour (Airfare, VenturingFest registration fees, and food during the tour are not included). Option 3 - Full Tour Experience: Venturers and Advisors of Area 4. Register with our contingent leader for the full touring option by April 15th. Meet up with the contingent at the LAX airport to fly to Charlotte, NC on June 27th. Travel with the contingent to VenturingFest 2020 and 4 days of touring after VenturingFest. Return home from Washington, D.C. to LAX on July 6th. Cost: $775 for youths and adults plus the actual price of airfare departing LAX. Cost includes airfare to and from LAX, 3 contingent T-shirts, hotel, airfare, and ground transportation during the tour (VenturingFest registration fees and food during the tour are not included). All participants may qualify for scholarships and/or sponsorships. The cost of touring and VenturingFest fees will be reduced based on the amount of scholarship each individual qualifies for and the amount of sponsorships that are donated to the cost. June 27th -July 6th, 2020 June 27th-July 2nd: Travel to the Summit Bechtel Reserve from LAX. Fly into Charlotte, NC and meet up with other contingent members. The participants will continue the journey by joining other Venturers from around the country for 5 days for an unforgettable experience at VenturingFest 2020. July 3rd: Travel from the Summit Bechtel Reserve to Monticello. This is the Home of Thomas Jefferson, our third President of the United States, author of the Declaration of Independence, and founder of the University of Virginia. Tour te lovely home and gardens that he lived in and designed. July 4th: Travel from Monticello to Colonial Williamsburg. Experience the living history town, where the residents live the life of the 1800's. Explore historical buildings, meet the nation's founders, experience historical trades and games, and discover how this historical town celebrates the birth of our country. July 5th: Travel will continue to Washington, D.C., our national capital. Visit the Smithsonian Museum and the National Mall. The National Mall is America's most-visited national park, where the past, present, and future come together. Take part in the wreath bearing ceremony at the Arlington National Cemetery and walk around Reflecting Pool in the evening to see the National Mall in a different light. July 6th: Visit the Washington Monument which is the centerpiece of our national capitol. Walk to the White House, the residence for the President of the United States, and see all the sights along the way. Take time to see the Declaration of Independence at the National Archive, before making our way to the airport for our journey back to LAX.
