Donations for Harry’s Island
Harry the great blue heron lost his safe fishing platform in the SCOV golf course pond when the old fountain base was replaced by a new working fountain. Resident artist Sheryl Hester has found an Audubon Society-endorsed solution for Harry’s plight. Why not just anchor an old tire, you ask? A hydroponic floating island adds value by providing a safe, aesthetically pleasing living habitat for aquatic birds, shade and cover for fish, and a sustainable root system to pull nutrients from the water. The approved, donation-funded project will cost around $2,000. Mark Wade and Mike Kropf will oversee ongoing maintenance. Please bring checks made out to Sheryl Hester to the Welcome Center.
Investment Discussion Group
Economic/Investment Club forming. Looking for folks interested in starting a discussion group focused on economic trends, monetary policy and investing in equity and fixedincome markets. If we get 20 participants, we can form an official SCOV club. This group will dissect investment ideas but will not pool invest as a group. The first meeting would be after November 1. If you are interested, email or call Bruce Goslovich bruce@goslovichfc.com 208-550 7943.
