So forget about the heat and just enjoy a little light entertainment! “He knows how to love me no awkward declarations / no promises forever after / no polished moves / to gain the inside track he kisses my hands / my arms / my toes / with devoted languor no accusations / when I return late / only tail-wagging joy his bowl empty / I fill it / his water gone / I replace it It’s all I have to do / to stay his one and only “ Meanwhile, we fully expect to resume meeting in person by October, but anticipate retaining an online option of some sort for a few more months. The club board is developing plans to reopen the lab at the Welcome Center for on-site help, special interest group use and research, as well as limited meeting space for other clubs to use during the lengthy Activity Center remodel. SCOV club presidents are encouraged to contact Paul Sherwood with any digital needs that can be provided in the lab. Monthly general club meeting options are being considered for online and in-person attendance. Topics like how to age in place using electronics, accessing the medical industry from home, electronics for your motor home and exciting virtual tours may be discussed, if our members express interest. Annual club membership is still only $10 per household. Visit the website for PayPal or debit/credit card options.

Many people in SCOV have been fully vaccinated, so we are optimistic that we will likely be able to resume our inhome dinners in the fall. The board will be communicating with membership about the conditions under which members would feel comfortable hosting. As our name implies, our members usually prepare meals that follow an agreedupon theme and share our dishes in the home of a host. The board is considering a club activity in September and possibly earlier. Anyone interested in joining the club should email Debbie dlkotlarek@gmail.com to get on our email list.
