Vistoso Helpful Hands is an all-volunteer organization, providing year-round short-term (three weeks or 12 visits) assistance to SCOV residents.

We do light handyman chores, run errands, light yard work/housekeeping, paperwork organization and provide transportation and meal delivery from The Views Restaurant. For assistance, call our dispatcher 520-447-0077. If we cannot immediately answer, leave your name and number. We will call you back.

Our dispatchers also have names/numbers for longerterm referrals to agencies and paid services, such as inhome caregivers/personal services, transportation options, house cleaning, home downsizing/moving, mobile meal delivery, animal/house sitting and businesses who help find the best assisted living facilities for you.

Do you remember your first bike? Wheels for Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing rehabbed bicycles to children and families in need in the Tucson area. To date, we have donated 3,000 bikes to local nonprofits who distribute the bikes to their clients. Some of our partner organizations include Refugee Focus, Boys and Girls Club of Tucson, Children’s Advocacy Center, Casa de los Niños, Ronald McDonald House and Youth On Their Own. Wheels for Kids is an all-volunteer effort, and we are always happy to welcome new people to our team. If you are interested in learning more, please visit our website or call Tom Terfehr. Art Exhibition

SCOV painters and Art League members, April Hoffman and Jane Leonard, will show their art in the Oro Valley Public Library, 1305 W. Naranja Dr., September 2-October 14. April’s portraits include her “Patriotic American” series. Jane’s art includes work made from various media. The library is open Monday-Friday, 10 AM-6 PM (closes at 5 PM on Friday).

Catalina State Park

Enjoy Music in the Mountains at Catalina State Park on the first Saturday of the month. • Saturday, October 2, 6 PM: Rene Taylor, jazz standards. • Saturday, November 6, 4 PM: Way Out West, western classics, accompanied with banjo.

All-day admission to the park is $7 per vehicle and the concert is included with park admission.

Oro Valley Theatre Company
