Errick Owens

Restaurant Manager, Errick Owens, is a familiar face to regular visitors of The Views Restaurant. Errick has been working at The Views for nearly six years, having started as a server. He has also bartended, and for the past five years, has managed the front of the house, dealing with food service and staffing, always working to make dining at The Views Restaurant a pleasant experience.

Errick started working in the restaurant industry at the age of 14. He has received professional training in alcohol service and safe food service.

If you need to know anything about the Tucson area, ask Errick. He’s a Tucson native and life-long resident. When he’s not working at The Views Restaurant, Errick enjoys spending time with his family along with hiking and hunting.

Don’t forget to drop by the market behind the Welcome Center between 9 AM and 1 PM. Each week there may be new vendors. Shop in the convenience of our own community. Some vendors will take orders for the holidays.

Friday, December 3, 8:30 AM Holiday Shopping Bus Trip

Enjoy a day of shopping or just enjoying the twinkling lights around the Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale. Relax on a luxury bus that will depart at 8:30 AM and return to SCOV at 5 PM. Tickets are on sale at the Welcome Center from Pam or Coco, $45 pp.

Monday, December 6 , 10 AM-Noon SCOV Gift Shop Monday Madness Sale

This is the first of two Monday Madness sales this month at the Gift Shop with bargains galore including jewelry, wood, fused glass, pottery, fabrics, cards and much, much more. This is an easy and convenient way to shop for a special and unique gift while supporting your resident artists.

Wednesday, December 8, 3 PM Holiday Door Decoration Contest

Back by popular request is the Holiday Door Decoration Contest. Many of our residents do not have golf carts for a parade entry, so this is a fun way that everyone can share the holiday spirit. The entry form was in the November Tipster, or you can pick one up at the Welcome Center. Prizes will be awarded. Doors will be judged on December 15. To be considered for a prize, entry forms must be turned in at the Welcome Center by Wednesday, December 8, 3 PM.

Thursday or Friday, December 9 and 10, 7 PM Sun City Singers Christmas Concert

Please join The Sun City Singers for one of two performances of our Welcome Back Christmas Concert at nearby Vistoso Community Church, 1200 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd. Admission is free, but due to limited seating, you will need a ticket. See page 28 for ticket information.

Pull out those ugly sweaters/shirts and have some fun along with the SCOV staff. Wear them to club meetings or around the community.

Non-Surgical Treatments for Orthopedic Care

Explore the latest advances presented by Jonathan Tait, D.O., of Rejuv Medical Southwest. Dr. Tait will talk about regenerative medicine including Stem Cell and PRP (PlateletRich Plasma) at Catalina Vista. Thursday, December 30, 10:30 AM Tipster Collation

Due to the Activity Center renovation, please email Dave and Tempe Johnson dpjohn@aol.com to confirm time, location and to sign up to help collate the inserts that go into the Tipster. It’s a great way to get some exercise and meet people.
