The number of nurses, midwives and nursing associates registered to practise in the UK has grown to a record total of 788,638, according to Nursing and Midwifery Council statistics for 2022/23. Our Childcare, Health & Social Care courses will teach you a range of knowledge and skills surrounding working with young children, education and the care sectors.

During our courses, you will learn key knowledge, practical skills, and behavioural qualities that will prepare you for a wide range of careers. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to put your learning into practice through industry placements, projects, and trips, in an industry setting such as day-care centres, GP surgeries, care homes, nurseries and primary schools.

Our tutors are fully qualified professionals in the industry. They have been practising and teaching for a number of years and are passionate about passing on their knowledge and pushing boundaries.

T-LEVEL

Early Years & Childcare

Level 2

Duration: 1 Year

This Level 2 course is the perfect introduction to childcare practice. There is a diverse range of units to cover, each helping you to learn more about the industry, how children learn and how they develop. You’ll also gain valuable experience in the industry during a 250-hour placement.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Three GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and English at grade 4. A clear DBS check will be required.

Education & Childcare

Level 3

Duration: 2 Years

This T-Level will develop your knowledge and understanding in a range of core elements that will underpin your learning in Early Years Education. You will be given a context to the industry, learn the key concepts and theories in education, learning and teaching, and develop the skills you need to do the job.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and/or Maths at grade 5. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply.

Health & Social Care

Level 2

Duration: 1 Year

During this one-year course in Health & Social Care, you will learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to work in the sector. You will learn more about equality and diversity, human growth and development, and the safeguarding of individuals.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Three GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and English, or completion of the Level 1 course. A clear DBS check will also be required.

Health, Childcare & Social Care

Level 1

Duration: 1 Year

During this course, you will develop a range of core skills that will help you in your career in the health & social care industry. You will learn about health and social care services, improve your communication skills and become highly organised.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Two GCSEs grade 2-9 including Maths and/or English. Please note, for Level 1 courses flexibility can be offered for those without GCSEs. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply.

T-LEVEL

Health

Level 3

Duration: 2 Years

Our T-Level in Health will develop your knowledge and understanding in a range of core elements that will underpin your learning in the health and science sector. You will be given a context to the industry, learn theoretical principles in science, and develop the skills you need to work in this industry.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and/or Maths at grade 5. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply.

Social Care

Level 3

Duration: 2 Years

A career in social care is not just rewarding; it can also pave way for respectable job positions such as doctors, nurses, counsellors, paramedics or social workers. You will study a range of units which relate to good practice in the field of social care, which include, communicating in social care, professional development in social care, partnership working, safeguarding, and health and safety.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and English, or completion of the Level 2 course. A clear DBS check will be required.

The Construction industry is a fantastic career path, with trained individuals hugely sought-after. You may choose to go down the private sector or public sector route. Either way, this is an in-demand and well paid industry to enter. What’s more, this sector has the second biggest predicted five-year growth rate.

Our construction courses will give you the opportunity to study a whole range of construction disciplines such as bricklaying, carpentry, electrical, painting & decorating, and plumbing. You will learn the essential skills you need for your industry in our purpose-built construction facilities. We have a dedicated carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting and decorating workshops as well as our Brickwork Centre.

You will gain valuable work experience with a whole range of local employers and put your skills to the test during regional, national, and international Skill Build competitions. All of our tutors are highly qualified and experienced in their industry. They have an incredible amount of knowledge about their trades and have lots of industry contacts to help you on your way once you’ve finished college.

Brickwork

Level 2

Duration: 1 Year

If you are working towards a career in bricklaying, then this Level 2 course will help you take your skills to the next level. You will learn more advanced building techniques, understand cavity wall construction, and push yourself to create more decorative pieces.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Completion of the Level 1 course, and GCSE Maths and/or English at grade 3.

Brickwork

Level 1

Duration: 1 Year

Join us for this bricklaying course as we give you the perfect introduction to this important aspect of construction. We’ll tell you more about the industry, highlight the variety of tasks, and show you how to set out and build block walls and structures.

What previous qualifications or experience do I need?

Two GCSEs grade 2-9 including Maths and/or English. Please note, for Level 1 courses flexibility can be offered for those without GCSEs. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply.
