The Creative Industries are a rewarding and exciting area to work in. We are proud of our established relationships with local venues and our membership to Creative Industries UK, which ensures our students get the very best entry into the industry. This area is expected to see the biggest growth over the next five years, regionally, out of all the possible industry areas our students will enter!
Our courses will ensure you have all the knowledge and skills you need to thrive in this industry. You will be able to develop your current acting and musical ability in some of the best music and theatre facilities anywhere in East Sussex. We have professional recording studios, theatre spaces, dance studios and a performance stage, perfectly complemented by cutting edge audio-visual technology.
Our tutors all have industry experience and are still practising in the industry as musicians, sound engineers, writers, composers, artists, and performers. They arrange lots of industry tips, have strong links with top music and acting universities, and excellent contacts in the industry.

Acting, Dance & Musical Theatre
Level 4
Duration: 1 Year
This unique one-year professional diploma will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience to help you progress into higher education, drama school, conservatories training, or directly into employment in the creative industries.
What previous qualifications or experience do I need?
Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and English, and successful completion of the Level 3 course. Minimum age 18 years old. A successful audition will be required. LEWES
Music Performance & Production
Level 3
Duration: 2 Years
Prepare you for employment in the music industry, self-employment, or for progression to higher education. You will undertake a wide and exciting range of practical projects looking at performance and production work to develop your skills in our industry-standard facilities.
What previous qualifications or experience do I need?
Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 4, or successful completion of the Level 2 course. A successful audition will be required. EASTBOURNE
Music Production
Level 2
Duration: 1 Year
This course will prepare you for progression to our Level 3 Music Production course, where you will develop skills in both music performance and production. Practical project work allows you to establish your interests and strengths before progressing to either a performance-based specialist pathway, or a production based one. There are no examinations on this course.
What previous qualifications or experience do I need?
Three GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and/ or English at grade 3, or completion of the Level 1 course. Basic ability on an instrument required.
Performing Arts - Acting
Level 3
Duration: 2 Years
Come and join us for this exciting, performancecentred acting course. This course will give you the chance to explore a range of techniques, genres, and processes relevant to the creative industries while supporting your artistic ambitions in acting.
What previous qualifications or experience do I need?
Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 4, or completion of the Level 2 course. A successful audition will be required.

Gym Instructor
Level 2
Duration: 1 Year
Throughout this course you will learn a range of skills and exercise techniques that will enable you to start a career or own your own business in personal training. You will study the Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification for the first half of the year before studying the Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. You will have lessons based within the gym at Eastbourne Sports Park where you will make full use of the Technogym equipment and free weights available.

Three GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 4.
Personal Training
Level 3
Duration: 1 Year
During this practical course you will learn a range of skills and exercise techniques that will enable you to start a career or own your own business in personal training. You will benefit from being taught by the industry qualified and practicing instructors.

Four GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 3, or completion of the Level 1 course.
Professional Sport Coaching
Level 3
Duration: 1 Year
This course will give you all the skills, knowledge and understanding of the sport, coaching and physical activity sector. The skills you learn will provide you with the perfect stepping stone to a range of occupations, often through the route of higher education.

Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 4, or completion of the Level 2 course.
Sport & Physical Activity
Level 2
Duration: 1 Year
This Level 2 qualification in sport and activity is the perfect stepping stone to our Level 3 course. It is an exciting practical course that will teach you more about sport and physical activity while giving you the opportunity to put your learning into practice with a 30-hour work placement.

Three GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 3, or completion of the Level 1 course.
HASTINGS SP 30029
Sport & Physical Activity Development
Level 3
Duration: 2 Years
This qualification will develop your skills and knowledge in sport and physical development. The course units for study are anatomy and physiology related to fitness, fitness training and programming, professional development in the sports industry, sports leadership, practical sports performance, coaching for performance, and sport psychology.

Five GCSEs grade 4-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 4, or completion of the Level 2 course.

Sport & Uniformed Protective Services
Level 1
Duration: 1 Year
This practical Level 1 qualification is an excellent introduction to our sport and protective services courses. You will learn more about each industry, become an excellent team player, and decide whether you’d like to progress to our Level 2 Sport or Protective Services course.

Two GCSEs grade 2-9 including Maths and/or English. Please note, for Level 1 courses flexibility can be offered for those without GCSEs. Subject specific entry criteria may also apply.

Level 2
Duration: 1 Year
This course provides you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress onto a Level 3 course. Units of study include understanding business in sport, preparing to work in the sport and leisure industry, participating in sport, sports coaching, outdoor and adventurous activities, plan an enterprising sport business, and plan, deliver and evaluate an activity session.

Three GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 3, or completion of the Level 1 course.
Sports Coaching
Level 2
Duration: 1 Year
During this practical Level 2 course, you will study topics including anatomy and physiology, practical sports, and sports coaching to prepare you for progression onto our advanced-level programmes. You will start to gain and develop all the skills and behaviours you need for a successful career in the sports industry.

Three GCSEs grade 3-9 including Maths and/or English at grade 3, or completion of the Level 1 course.

During this sport & exercise course you will be able to build on the knowledge that you have gained from studying Level 2 or GCSE PE. It will enable you to have a more in-depth understanding of the scientific principles and training methods within this exciting industry.
