This T-Level course will give you a natural progression route to becoming a qualified electrician. This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the industry, which will prepare you to enter the industry through employment or as an apprentice.

Carpentry & Joinery

Level 1

Duration: 1 Year

Join us for this Level 1 Carpentry & Joinery course as we give you the perfect introduction to the world of carpentry. We’ll tell you more about the industry, the types of environments that carpenters work in, and show you a range of tools and skills you’ll need for a career as a carpenter.

Construction Skills

Level 1

Duration: 1 Year

This course is perfect for you if you are unsure of your preferred journey into the construction industry. It gives you the opportunity to try three different trades throughout the year including, brickwork, carpentry, and painting and decorating. On successful completion of this course you are given the opportunity to progress onto a full-time Level 1 diploma in your preferred trade. This course is predominantly practical, however, there is a small amount of theory involving health and safety, and some trade specifics.

T-LEVEL Design, Surveying & Planning

Level 3

Duration: 2 Years

This course will develop your knowledge and understanding in a range of core subjects that will underpin your learning in the construction industry. You will study the key concepts and theories behind design, surveying and planning, and develop the skills you need to enter into this industry or progress to university.

Electrical Installation

Level 2

Duration: 1 Year

This course will be your first step to becoming a qualified electrician and a career in the commercial, industrial or domestic sectors. You will undertake theoretical learning on scientific principles and on health and safety requirements. You will also learn the practical skills required to install wiring systems to recognised standards, and to be able to inspect and test wiring systems. It is good preparation for students intending to find an Apprenticeship to complete their training.

Duration: 1 Year

This course combines practical and theoretical learning so you can start to understand scientific principles, more about the industry standards, and the requirements of electrical installation technology. You will learn about health and safety requirements, how to install wiring systems to recognised industry standards, and how to inspect and test wiring systems.

GCSE Maths and English at grade 3.

Foundation Construction Skills

Level 1

Maintenance Operations

Level 2

Duration: 1 Year

If you are working towards a career in construction, then this Level 2 course will help you take your skills to the next level. You will learn more about carrying out domestic and commercial repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and plastering.

Completion of the Level 1 course, and GCSE Maths and/or English at grade 3.

Painting & Decorating

Level 3

Duration: 1 Year

Develop your skills in our purpose-built workshop and become adept at all aspects of painting and decorating. You will be able to apply hangings to walls and ceilings, and apply a range of decorative finishes to your work. You will also learn how to use advanced equipment such as high volume low pressure spray equipment. There will also be an opportunity to improve your employability skills during industry placements.

Plumbing

Level 3

Duration: 2 Years

During this course you will learn a range of advanced skills in plumbing which will provide a great foundation for your career, or to go on to specialise in new technologies. You’ll learn about the principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, understand system installation planning and increase your knowledge in complex water systems. You will also learn about domestic gas principles which will open a pathway for you to train in gas installation.

This technical subject also includes a substantial theory element.

Site Carpentry

Duration: 1 Year

This course is perfect if you have successfully completed the Level 2 Site Carpentry course and want to improve your prospects and enter the construction industry at a more qualified level. You will be able to construct door frames, partition walls, roofing, floor joists and lay flooring. You will become familiar with fixed and transportable machinery and fully understand the principles of building construction. There will be opportunity to improve your employability skills during work placements.

Site Carpentry

Level 2

Duration: 1 Year

On this Site Carpentry course you will learn how to carry out first and second fixing, how to build a timber frame structure, and how to erect structural carcasses. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate these skills by building a model in one of our large modern workshop areas. You will also learn how to set up and operate a circular saw.
