According to 2017 data from the South Dakota Department of Health, 11% of South Dakotans have been told by a doctor that they have diabetes. At 17%,

American Indians demonstrate a significantly higher prevalence of diabetes than white South Dakotans at 9%. Health professionals, diabetes educators and others join us to discuss avenues to prevention and treatment in the state.
