Friends of SDPB Welcomes New Board Members
The Friends of SDPB is delighted to announce three new members to the Board of Directors.
Liam Culhane, Watertown
Liam Culhane is a trial attorney with Turbak Law Office in Watertown, as well as an entrepreneur. He is committed to public service and building stronger communities though access to justice, cooperation, and compassion. Liam has served in many aspects of community service in areas such as childcare, politics, city planning and the local historical society. Turbak Law has supported SDPB for two decades as a corporate support contributor.
Charles Hart, Rapid City
Charles (Charlie) Hart had a long and successful career as a family and emergency physician then became the CEO of Regional Health in Rapid City. He was a 2022 inductee into the South Dakota Hall of Fame and has been a dynamic member of numerous community, state and national boards. Charlie and his wife, Kathryn, are generous contributors to SDPB and have been leaders in providing matching gifts, inspiring others to join them in philanthropy.
Leslie Magnusson Hildyard had an extensive career with Procter & Gamble in both Sales and Consumer Market Knowledge where she designed and integrated customer research into business strategies to grow the business. Leslie is active in the Rapid City and the Black Hills communities and is a member of the SDPB Legacy Society.

Power of Possibility
Inspired by "Power of Possibility," the outdoor sculpture installed on the DWU campus in Mitchell in 2022, this documentary features comments by artist Joan Benefiel, Dale Lamphere (South Dakota Artist Laureate), and Marty Two Bulls, Jr. (Oglala Lakota Artist Laureate), about how public art projects are initiated and completed. The one-hour film Includes interviews and a “tour” of public art in the towns of the state to explore the effects of public art in their communities.
